I have pondered over this page for a bit.

At first - I took Hinata's actions and words as a sort of ancestral prayer for Naruto's safety....

But now I am beginning to wonder. It appears as if the Cloak vanishes Aim is blind, Naruto's heart stops , and it is also at that point that Hinata trips, completely. Then she asks her (dead) cousin to 'protect' Naruto. I am unsure what the original Japanese is, or of what contextual significance it may have... but I have since started to lean toward the idea that the scene was supposed to indicate Naruto had already passed.

She was asking Neji to guide Naruto into the next life - if I had to guess.
