Lets try to pinpoint when the long awaited "Reverie meeting" shall take place. :)

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alright, first off from One Piece WIKI:

Meetings are held every four years and are usually at and kings or queens gather to discuss matters that could affect the world. One of the agendas that appears to happen regularly at these meetings is the topic of the and .

Now in one of the most recent events of hearing about the reverie meeting was:

1) On Fishman Island where Hordy Jones planned to take over Ryugu Kingdom and attend the meeting and kill all the human kings. THink about it, it might just have been "the new fishman pirates" laziness in training and getting stronger but they chose to take over RIGHT NOW! [ they could've done so, a long time ago. They killed Queen Otehime and stole the Power Drugs. ]

But they chose a moment close to the next Reverie meeting on purpose? I don't think its a coincidence. U_U

2) Now, we heard Fujitora speaking about the "Reverie" in the todays manga chapter. He even said;

" This is the year of the reverie" - Admiral Fujitora

Now to business, in Chapter 142 we see Dalton attending a Reverie Meeting. And since they are held every 4 years. I believe its been 4 years since then. And that Reverie arc could be in 2 arcs time!!

Reasons

1) Many arcs have gone by. To be exact around 22 arcs
2) After the "War of the Best", the Mugiwara's went on a 2yr break. So combine the amount of arcs gone by and the 2yrs for training = approximately 4 years exactly.

I'm going to say that, the Reverie Arc will be in either the next or the arc after Dressrosa with a combination of following up arc + reverie meeting.

What do you guys think? [ remember , this is just for fun calculating this ]

It was stated on Fishman Island by Hody that the Reverie meeting is going to held this year in the world of One Piece, however, I don't think such an arc will appear any time soon. I find it more likely for it to be closer to the end of the series, than this soon.

The Reverie Meeting is a meeting between the greatest leaders of the world, and if someone simply, let's say, insult another, then a full scale war could be initiated. Considering this, set your creativity free and imagine what could happen at the next Reverie.

Well, there could be a possibility that Dragon and the Revolutionaries attack the Reverie.

The return of Vivi is also likely. We're probably going to see a lot of 'old' characters return during this arc.

Vivi and the royal family of Alabasta, Wapol who is now the king of the newly founded Black Drum Kingdom, Dalton who is now the king of Sakura Island, and maybe even people from Goa Kingdom. It sounds like this arc could reach the top of my list.

I dont believe an entire arc will be based around the reverie. But I'm really excited about the possible aftermath of the decisions made during that meeting!

Maybe not the meeting, but it's almost safe to say that 'Mariejois' will be the center of an entire arc.

Bottom line is that you say the Reverie arc will be in 2 arcs. To me it seems you are just going around the bush and your calculations are very crude >.>

I mean it was already very obvious from the FI arc that the Reverie would be held very soon following the timeflow of the OPverse. Today's chapter just underlined that once more and you also have a reference to the Reverie on one of the cover stories. After the timeskip Oda drew the Decks of the World to show how everyone reacted on the Strawhats return. In Alabasta they were making new cloths that they were going to wear at the Reverie. That it's going to happen soon is certain, so I don't really get the point of starting to calculate the years.

Also I think the Reverie Dalton was at wasn't 2 years before the start of the series as Vivi was also at that Reverie, but she was still a little kid. She couldn't have possibly grown up so much so fast unless she skipped puberty. The one Dalton was at was probably not the previous Reverie, but the one before.

I believe, as stated in the official prediction thread, that the Reverie will make the series, after the time skip, really jump into 2nd gear. So far, even though a lot has happened, in the manga itself not much time has passed since the time skip and the Strawhats haven't gone full throttle yet. So I still have the feeling that they and the story still are warming up.

It all makes sense though, I hadn't given any thought at it yet. There are really so many hints in the manga about the future, but i always miss them. It's cool to know that you can expect something in the future, which is all blank ^^

I agree with Caliburn. Your attempt at co-relating a given number of arcs with time passed is a bit stretched. Some arcs are longer than others, even in terms of manga timeline, so how can you say its X number of arcs per Y number of years? It doesn't seem much viable.

The reverie is coming soon but that was already known. It simply was much emphasized until recently. Namely, this chapter.

I would like that also I don't think there will be a whole arc dedicated to it. More like what happened with Teach vs Ace, there is some narration and then a switch in places and the Reverie meeting takes up max 7 chapters or so.
