Why is everyone running out of chakra?

1. I don't understand why everyone in the shinobi alliance is running out of chakra at this point.
2. Why does everyone still have Kyubbi cloaks?

3- How the hell they can run of out of chakra with kyuubi cloaks?

They have been fighting for a day and a half all out and no rest. The cloaks cant be used if naruto cant control them.

2. They are still connected to Minato, who posses the other half of Kyuubi's chakra, through Naruto. Naruto have traits of the Kyuubi because he was born from the Jinchuuriki Kushina, his mother.

3. The Kyuubi cloak is for protection.

The cloak is probably fading. There's no clear amount of how much chakra they were given

I've speculated that it's for contrast with those that don't have the cloak any longer (namely Sasuke and Kakashi) to show that they don't have it anymore, and haven't had it for a while. The whole "It doesn't fully disappear, it just becomes much smaller" makes it extremely difficult to differentiate, so Kishi retconned it.

1. Onoki already said they're using tons of large scale techs. They're fighting Shinshuu after all.

Most likely its connected to Naruto's lifeforce and its fading slowly.

Last time it faded, when naruto got bumped out of BM, it was no logner visible. right now, It's full powered Yin-Y... Actually I think I get it now. Last time naruto fed them the cloak, he also put some of minato's Yin kurama in it. The cloak's being fed by minato's kyuubi because it's still connected. Just realized.

They have been fighting that mini Shinsuusenju, and I guess since Kurama is gone he isn't replenishing their chakra. Sakura kyuubi cloak already disappeared soon everyone else will too.

Now that Naruto is out , everyone is starting to loose the cloak , we saw it today with Hinata & Sakura , Minato only gave chakra to the SA during the thug of war I believe , he probably took it back . But the point is , that they are loosing it now .

Well I just thought of something.

I have a feeling that the alliance is running out of chakra, because ever since they gained the Kyubbi cloak, they started using chakra taxing jutsus out of their league. Now that the cloak is disappearing, they basically overused their own chakra reserves along with the cloak. Also now that the cloak is disappearing, these cloak beholders are feeling their chakra pulled out of their body, hence they feel like they are out of chakra even though they may still have some left. An analogy of this scenario is when a person takes a stimulant drug to stimulate themselves but when the drug is used up, they feel depressed. As for the Gokage, they were never at full chakra to begin with so they used up what little they recovered after coming back from the Madara fight.

This just sums up my thoughts as to why everyone seems to have low chakra.

Same I also think this is plausible and was my initial gut reaction but doesn't the mokuton have to be in contact to drain the chakra? I guess most of the fight was off paneled and the ASF had their chakra drained by mokuton while the manga was focussed on Naruto, Sasuke and Madara.

Kishi needed a way for Sakura/Hinata to be useful. By saving Naruto. Possibly.
