I'm on my phone, I'll edit some pics in it later for more evidence but just to give you the main idea now.

Alright so we're all familiar with the whole story of the So6p, the Juubi, the Uchiha and the Senju...yeah anyways what I'd like to point out is, that the Rinnegan aswell as it's power do not directly come from the Juubi, but rather it's shell the Gedo Mazou.
This has been on my mind for a while, remember what Zetsu said to Kakashi and Minato?
"Only the So6p and Madara awakened the Rinnegan"
How Madara awakened his Rinnegan is old news by now, but how did the sage do it, sure the Juubi does have something to do with it, but when exactly did Hagoromo awaken his Rinnegan?
Right away, if so then how come it didn't happen to Obito when he became the Jinchuuriki?
Maybe because he already has a Dojutsu?
No this wouldn't make much sense, since his eyes were rendered useless to the point that he could only see with them, he couldn't use Kamui anymore and he probably couldn't use the Rinnegan aswell.
My guess is that the Juubi negates everything on it's current host in exchange for the ultimate power (Kamui and Minato's marking on Obito's back for example)
Next thing keep in mind that we haven't seen the sage yet, we don't know how his complete face looks like, we only know that he had the Rinnegan and we've seen him once from behind in one of Kurama's backflashes as a little fox.
I should get to the point but this is not the time for that, moving on, when the sage couldn't handle the Juubi he split it's chakra into nine different parts as a last resort using creation of all things (Banbutsu Soso or how you spell it).
Did he create the nine Bijuu all at once or one at a time?
Can't tell, but if the latter is the case then he shouldn't be able to create the other eight Bijuu since the didn't have the complete Juubi inside him anymore, therefore the former would make much more sense, IF it weren't for the fact that Madara created black Zetsu while he was connected to the Mazou.
Madara was never the Juubi's Jinchuuriki and now we're getting closer to it, I'm pretty sure that Madara and Hagoromo both used Banbutsu Soso at that time.
And Hagoromo awakened the Rinnegan when he only had the Mazou inside him, this is just a guess I know I know, but Madara used the Mazou to create white Zetsu from Hashirama's DNA.
The Mazou is said to have a strong lifeforce-Zetsu was created by it-Rinne Tensei works by (exchanging) one's life in order to revive the dead (breathing life into something)
Do you see it now, am I confusing you, yes?

Another thing that I'd like to mention is that Shinra Tensei Chibaku Tensei and Bansho Teijn all of them manipulate gravity.
What happened when the Mazou had "all" the Bijuu inside it, except sh*t gettin' real', correct rocks and boulders were floating in the air.
Manipulating gravity=floating rocks=Shinra Tensei/Bansho Teijn/Chibaku Tensei
Gedo Mazou=strong life force=Rinne Tensei
Now I'm rushing it myself...I digress, good so now we have some sort of explanation for two, three, well four Jutsu that are associated with the Rinnegan - Rinne Tensei, Shinra Tensei, Bansho Teijn and Chibaku Tensei.
