I kind of agree. Madara did say that he couldn't bring out his full power for some reason though.
But those rods are stuck into is pressure points so he can't mold chakra, Just like when Neji power pokes you.

But IDK why Sasuke couldn't have just pulled em out.

To be honest what disappointed or threw me off the most is that, stronger Madara gets, the weaker he is compared to Hashirama.

I know this'll sound weird coming from me especially.

- VOTE Madara - Madara Hashirama go pretty far.

- Edo Madara - restrained by a non -full powered Hashirama

- Current Madara - restrained easily by Hashirama's jutsu....

I take the anime over the manga once both are done. It was the same for Dbz. Anime can basically be considered the "updated" version. But fans always have their excuses because of the butt hurt. But oh well.
