Yeah but it would be stupid to think everything's going to be fine and dandy between the villages afterwards just because they have a common enemy at the moment. Even if it's years in the future *******s always end up coming into power sooner or later to **** with people for whatever stupid reason. Also you say there would be no need for ninja but during the entire story of Naruto timeline their has been no actual war between the villages and yet plenty of jobs to be carried out.
