Would you call summoning part of someones power?

So me and my friend were discussing what kind of wizards we would choose to be, I chose conjurer and he chose elemental, he stated that I would be weak because im relying on other beings to fight for me and that its not part of my own power, it sucks when others mistake summoners for being weak because they themselves are not fighting. He claims its basically just "crying for help".

Nope. I only allow animals to be considered because they're not so influential in the battle.

Jiraiya, Orochimaru, Minato... their summons I let slide.

Edo tensei, however. Not a chance in hell. I give Jinchuriki their bijuu powers for the sake of debate, but I sure as hell don't respect them for it.

For Sakura yes, because the yinseal connects, them. For Sai, yes it's like a puppet. For Orochimaru....what else does he do, rhetorical .
FOr naruto, no...because he is predominantly a taijutsu fighter but his collaboration attacks..yes.

Yeah more like beasts and animals was what I was trying to tell my friend, not really binding others to my will, also I understand why others can see using the power of other beings as a cheat, though imo I think as long as you master that power like B and Naruto you can claim it as your own.

No problem lol, I see animals are generally more accepted but that's understandable, after all in a way you're taming them.

I don't agree. At least from a fairness standpoint. Give a cripple a bionic suit and he'll be able to take on MMA fighters with ease once he figures out how to use it. It's a cheat code to surpass one's own limitations and potential.

Well that is true, however that logic mainly applies to real life, there's a reason Minato gave Naruto the kyuubi and that was to take down someone as powerful as Madara, it was a weapon that was very much needed, and in the world of Ninja, weapons are highly used, however if you take that logic into real life and use a bionic suit, a weapon, then yes it would be cheating.
