Please, please just stop using the evolution card, it's down right ridiculous and impossible.

What? The quran was written 1400 years ago, in the middle of the arabian peninsula where ignorance of science was strong (they believed mountians held up the sky)

scientific facts in the quran include:

Speed of light
Black holes
Gamma Ray bursts
Halocline Phenoman
Big Bang
Comic Crunch
Mountians acting as pegs to the earth
The ozone layer
waves underneath surface waves
two bodies of ocean water not mixing
the orbit's of the earth and moon
earth being round
moon having reflected light
detailed descriptions of human development in the womb

and much more

Just read this and it refutes the argument your were probably planning on making

Verses that say so? I've never read the Quran.

Big Bang:

"Then he turned to the heavens when it was but smoke" [41:11]

"have not those who disbelieve know that the heavens and the earth were one (connected), and we separated them?'' [21:30]

mountains as pegs:

"Have we not made the earth a bed, and the mountains as pegs, set firm?" [chapter 78, verses 6-7]

black holes:

"So verily, I swear by the stars that are veiled, and by the (sweeping) stars that move swiftly and hide themselves" [At-takwir verses 15-19]

cosmic crunch:

"That day we will fold up the heavens like a scroll for books (completed) [21:104]

The prevention mixing of seas/oceans

"HE has let free The two bodies Of flowing water, Meeting together: Between them is a Barrier Which they do not transgress." [55:19:20]

EDIT:

Ozone layer"

"We made the sky a preserved and protected roof and yet they still turn away from our signs" [21:32]

Waves beneath surface waves:

"The unbeliever's (state) are like the darkness of a fathomless sea which is covered by waves above which are waves above which are clouds, layers of darkness, one above another. If he stretches out his hand, he cannot see it." [24:40]

Just like u said without the sun we would be dead. Its true. The dude i was talking about( santos bonacci) talks about it. He talks about everything. Seriously u would prolly like him. Ive been tryna put religious people on him but they dont wanna here it

I just mainly gave up trying to reason with simpletons. My friends may be clueless, they're good, warm people and that's what matters. So, I leave it be.

Dear friend, I would just like to point some things out to you. The quran is in arabic. In arabic, one word can have multiple meanings, so the chances of a mistranslation are strong, and can very well alter meanings.

For example, ina verse of the quran, people claim that it reads god created the universe in 6 days, which clearly goes against science, right? but the arabic word AYAM used there can mean days OR it can mean EONS, as in long periods of time.... therefore, no contradiction.

Another example is when people claim the quran speaks of how the heavens were made in 6 eons in one part and 8 eons in another, but the word used there is THUMA which is usually translated as ''then'' but it also means simultaneously. People think it says two eons + 4 eons + another 2, but it is actually 2 eons + 4 eons, while the next 2 eons take place within that time span of 4 eons... once again, no contradiction.

And there never will be. God's words can't contradict with his creation ;)

Thats just interpreation, you are basically saying "This is what he was talking about" or "That was a metaphor for-"
But it isnt, you're just finding ways to twist the scripture around to not be scientifically incorrect.

What i just said describes this perfectly Lol interpreting verses so that it isnt contradicting science, making it so that it has many different, adaptable meanings. Sometimes its 6 years, sometimes 6 eons, whichever best fits the situation

RIght believe what you want. I can't control your will, and clearly, you are of those Allah has described as being the dumb, deaf and blind, those who, even with a million signs in front of them, will refuse to believe.

These aren't interpretations, they're what the verses say. They're the real meaning of the verses, anti-islamics just misinterpret them.

I think you're the blind one.

If you say so, then why are the verse interpreted man different ways and are accepted in every way? None of those verse say that, oh the earth took millions of eons to form. You simply say its a metaphor whats it supposed to mean but, in the 6 examples you provided i can show over 10 examples of the Quaran completely contradicting every single one of them, except maybe the mountain thing

Hmm.. reminds me of a story i read a while ago:

There was a man who wanted to test the knowledge of the guru of the sikhs. So here is their conversation:

Man: Is there a god or not? since you are a prophet and claim to be a guru answer this for me.

Guru: Do you believe there is a god or not?

Man : Yes I do believe there is a god.

Guru: Have you seen him?

Man: No

Guru: Then why do you claim such fallacy and lie?

Man: So are you saying there is no god?

Guru: No, because that to would be a lie. Since you have not searched the whole universe to find him.

Moral of the story, those who claim there is a god and there isn't one, are 2 sides of the same coin, arguing over something they cannot prove right or wrong.

Who do you think gave man the knowledge to understand science? Who gave man BRAINS? Everything you see around you is created by God, nothing comes from man alone. You atheists need to jump off your high horse and realize that the humans that create rockets, cars, beautiful pieces of art work etc did not evolve from the likes of monkeys XD Something as complex as the world and human beings can only come from GOD

I am not the one on the high Horse, I think you need to jump off your horse. I can't prove there isn't a god just like you can't prove there is. So stop acting like atheists are the one who are wrong when you very well could be wrong. Why can't we just stop arguing about this no one can prove who is right or wrong. It doesn't mater at the end of the day, you can believe what ever you want to believe because no one is forcing you to believe.

I think it would be irrational to discard rational thinking for belief based arguments - since they wont get us nowhere

The more I learn about the universe the more I believe that God do exist, although I dont think that God is this good father like most of religions tells us, I think he has a nature of scientis.
