Now, before you post, PLEASE READ THE WHOLE POST.
Now I'll give you a few tidbits about the uchiha/senju.
1. It was established early in the manga that these 2 clans were the most feared because of Thur power.
2. We also know that 1 person from each clan reached Thur clans respective ceiling potential, madara and hashirama, not including outside enhancements.(i.e. Madara getting the rinnegan with hashis dna.)
3. The uchiha clan, more specifically, were so feared that they were sectioned off in the leaf village to be spied on.
Now let's look at the Yuki clan. (Hakus clan)
1. I blame kishi for this but we will never know the yuki clans true potential.
2. This clan is born in one of the most violent and brutal villages, the most village, also known as the "the bloody most village.
3. The Yuki clan, much like the uchihas, where feared for Thur power.
4. They were so feared, they didn't even want to master Thur own power. They were all killed immediately. At least the leaf gave the uchihas a chance. The mist village didn't even attempt to use this clans ability to bolster Thur military might.
5. Hakus mother was even killed by her own husband once he found out she had the kekki genkai. We saw what happened to the mob that killed her when they tried to kill someone with the ability (haku) who chose to defend himself. They were all killed instantly by 20 foot high ice spikes. This was a child haku.
Now, let's look at Hakus abilites and skills from what we've seen.
1. Ninjutsu- Now, let's look at haku compared to kimmimaro for a second. While I believe the kyuga clan was just as feared, I give the yuki clan one major advantage: ranged ninjutsu. Haji has been shown to make ice senbon simply from water. WE DID NOT SE THIS ABILITY AGAIN UNTIL TIMESKIP SASUKE DID IT WITH LIGHTNING! I think that in it self shows a grain of his clans potential. He can create mirrors of ice that has shown to be highly resistant to fire. Haji has even shown the ability to read moves and defend with one hand and perform hand seals with the other. That's freaking amazing.
2. Analytical abilites- Haku, at 15 has been shown as one of the most analytical characters in part one. Even kakashi praised his abilites. He developed a counter for the sharingan after seeing it one time. That is amazing. We all know if haku was ruthless, he could have killed sasuke and naruto in an instant.
In all using a part one power scale, haku is as deadly as anyone. He has a combination of speed, analytical abilites, ninjutsu, speed and smarts to make him lethal.
But then again, he was a prodigy of his clan. We've only seen 2 jutsu from him and a 3rd unnamed one.
I believe this clan had just as much potential as the uchiha/senju. But I guess I'll never see that come to fruition thanks to kishi. There is a reason this clan was wiped out so brutally. They even feared themselves and probably chose not defend themselves.
What do you guys think after reading that?
