By recent shippuden I mean since the war...
Early shippuden from the first episode to the war arc or something like that...

IMHO i like those in this order:

1 "early" shippuden. feels awesome to see naruto and his lads grow up and he gets new power ups. after i finished watching the classics i was so oh this show is so awesome why did it end... then days later pow! naruto shippuden. that was just so ****ing awesome.
2 classic: feels nostalgic. i've watched it since i was a very young brat.
3 "recent" shippuden: the war is boring and IMHO it has plot twists that make no sense. i agree its fiction but every fiction has a bit of sense...

Your thoughts?

Idk if the quality isn't as good or NB has ruined it all for me, but i don't feel as attached to the series as i use to. Legit, when i was 16-19 i was less active and would only watch the anime, certains scenes would have me emotional lol. Now, i watch just to see my favorite own and possibly use it im VS threads, i hate that.

OT: classic and early part 2.

Classic was the best for me. There was a lot of thought put into battles and character developement was cool. Early part two up untle the kage summit was cool because of all the action thanks to akatsuki. Now in this war arc it feels like someone else is writing this manga. Strategy doesn't matter anymore and its all about raw power. And there is poor character developement. Everyonespretty much the same as they were

Strategy was involved in Kabuto vs Uchiha bros

Everything up to and including the Pain Invasion and Part 1 were what made me a Naruto fan.

Kage Summit onwards just made the series go downhill IMO.

It was more simple in classic. I prefer it. Went from being ninja's to being demi-gods.

Part 1 of Naruto doesn't really have any major flaws (except maybe Naruto's plot sword beating Shukaku and Kabuto). I loved the Chunin Exams because something about a bunch of preteens killing each other in a forest made me happy.

Early Part 2 started off really slow but I liked seeing how the characters grew. And the Pain Invasion was the best part of the whole story IMO.

The War Arc has a lot of flaws though. The power-ups, Neji's random death, too many characters on the battlefield not doing anything; and that doesn't even scratch the surface. The coolest part of the war is Madara, who keeps spicing things up.

For me it goes like this:
Classic > early-mid Shippuden > late Shippuden.

Classic: I absolutely loved every arc, 10/10. Everything was much more simple back then, yet meaningfull. There were many sad moments, but more than that, effort played a big part and the true essence of Naruto lies in this part.

Early-mid shippuden: Started perfectly with the kazekage rescue arc, but i wasn't as satisfied with the following events as i were before. Regardeless, it was still a lot of fun, had very meaningful moments and we got to discover all Akatsuki members.

Late Shippuden: If i had to describe this war in one word, i'd have to say "messy".
Lots of fights with huge entertaining potencial got rushed in a few chapters (eg: Gaara vs his father) while the huge threat that is Madara simply gets power up after power up and the war is simply dragged on in a boring way.
The only important character that died was Neji and it was horribly done, nothing more than a lame excuse to try and add some tragedy.
I can't wait for the manga to end (i say this in a positive way).
