types of vs threads

a balanced match that can go either way depends on the debaters
for example base Minato vs Itachi

fanboy match
a fanboy puts his fav against weaker characters to make him look good
for example any main character vs akatsuki bar obito (this one is probably the most popular one out of this type)

fan match
a fan tries to prove why his fav can beat someone that the base consider "way stronger" or think he/she is "tiers above"
for example the "Gaara vs Sasuke" or the famous "Sasori vs Itachi"
anyway fan matches are pointless.. they're basically going against the crowd... it's obvious that you can't solo 20 or even more professional debaters.. so it's just stupid to support any unpopular character against someone like Minato who has an army of debaters...

Exactly. Any side of a debate, if made well enough, can be logically correct which in itself is a paradox.

VS threads on a whole are just ridiculous in itself, yes we base them off feats in most cases. But they would never happen in the manga they way they happen in VS threads.

You want to tell me if fight between a kage level shinobi against another kage or something would start and end in a one shot? Never. Noone will ever reaaaally know how kishi would handle said fights and how he would make certain characters deal with others.

So the whole vs thread thing in itself can be what it wants to be, the only thing factual in them are feats presented, not the outcome.

They are for fun however, since kishi will never give us like a whole tournament or something. So i do enjoy seeing how people think some things would turn out. It just pisses me off when people think some low level ninja would top a higher up ninja because said ninja has not shown a feat to counter something in the manga yet. (in some cases i wouldn't mind but in others its 100% BS )

I know itachi vs minato threads used to be everywhere. Debates never end unless its an obvious win for example: naruto vs sakura. Obvious win for naruto but naruto vs sasuke is debatable and will never end

The only one who can truly determine the outcome is Kishi, because if we had Chiyo+Sakura vs Sasori, you guys would've said Sasori low diff.

BUt most threads are made to have users go at it for their own entertainment
