[Discussion] Shiki's plan

At the end of Episode 0 / chapter 0 in one piece, Shiki and his doctor are talking and they say something like they will have their revenge against the world in 20 years. I'm sure this is canon, so my question is hasn't it been 20 years yet in the one piece world, if it has, isn't that a plot hole? Or did I miss where he actually puts the plan into action?

Any help would be good. Thanks.

I think it's non canon. Shiki's plan is revealed in the film One Piece: Strong World where he plans to wipe out East Blue and he is the main antagonist.

Don't take my word for it though, since I'm not a big OP follower, I may be wrong.

Chapter 0 was written by Oda, it is a prequel to the OP Movie Strong World, the only movie written by Oda himself, that is where you see what happens

Chapter 0 is set 20 years before the main story, pre-time skip, making it so that Shiki's 20 years plan was set to start somewhere before the crew arrived at Sabaody Archipelago, after having recruited Brook. The events of that plan were exposed not in Manga or Anime form, but rather in Movie, the 10th in the series, called Strong World, written and overseen by Oda himself (which is why many people considered it Canon).

I would suggest you watch it, it is a very good movie

Other than that, there have been no reference to Shiki in the Manga, except in the Cover of chapter 631, where Crocus appears with an unknown figure, which many have speculated to be Shiki, but it isn't confirmed yet.

Oh damn so it's long past, so for now we are taking the movie as what really happened. It's just hard to believe that that was it for the almighty Shiki and his era. But you can understand why it's hard to believe the movie can't you?

However I think the guy with Crocus is more likely to be Gaban than Shiki.

I remember that, I just didn't recall if it was in the actual manga, or if it was just in the version I read, as a special or something. Thanks


As for other stuff that's only in Movie Form, One Piece Movie Z is also one of the limbo movies, because it was overseen by Oda as well, and the Anime did an introduction to the movie. That one takes place after the Fishman Island Arc, and before the Punk Hazard Arc, just like One Piece Movie Strong World supposedly takes place after Thriller Bark Arc and before Sabaody Archipelago Arc.
But again, they seem cannon, and could be considered cannon, but you can also do without them, they're not relevant to the main plot.

I believe his plan is cannon. We have confirmed in the manga that the marines talking about shiki the first pirate who escaped impel down.

If not then we will probably have an arc centered around Shiki.
