Characters who were killed by plot

[Snape Uchiha]

Throughout Anime and Manga, there are always powerful characters who cannot be killed by logical means. The writer therefore has to come up with a plot device in order to have them killed.

Naruto: (There are a few examples in Naruto. I will only list some)
Itachi Uchiha: In order to kill him, Kishimoto gave him a vague, unexplained terminal disease
Minato Namikaze :He died before the story took place. However Kishimoto than made him very powerful. Therefore Kishimoto had to put him in a situation where he had to kill himself

Bleach
Ulquiorra Cifer: He was so powerful that he easily defeated Ichigo. Then Ichigo somehow came back to life in an OP Hollowfied form and ripped off Ulquiorra's arm. And then Ulquiorra disintegrated due to "internal injuries"


Hunter x Hunter (Later in the Manga)

Neferpitou: (S)he was extremely powerful. Somehow Gon went into some OP super Saiyan form and killed him/her.

Bleach has a ton of them. Every time Ichigo faces an OP opponent some new power we, many times, only see once shows up beats the bad guy then he never uses it again like with Ulquiorra.

Attack on titan-Eren should have been dead what 3 times now?

That how Shonen and other mangas are. They make these OP enemies with no real means to beat them and then need to create some external circumstances in order for the hero/heroine to win.

Bullshit. Naruto TNJed Nagato and Pein won that fight when he pinned Naruto down, plot saved him from that. And Deva was able to toss aside two Shadow Clones AFTER a Rasenshuriken was thrown, and then dodge it, but couldn't dodge Naruto's last Rasengan?

Nagato couldn't use Deva Path for the first two chapters of the fight, had all the paths pounced on him Naruto woud've been roflstomped.

OT: I'd like to add Danzo to this list. He just had to use KA on Mifune.

Pain-Naruto has to go to BSM to kill him off, which was actually introduced in the manga in later point of time.
Sasori-The statement made by chiyo left a big question mark on his death.
Itachi-You explained it already.
And Kisame-Just because Kishi wanted to kill him, he made him suicide.

Minato's death is basically the reason Naruto became the Jin.
I agree with Gon ,tho it must have had something to do with the whole resolve and nen thingy.
