Jiraiya in his base form is enough to take down Itachi and Kisame and it was stated in the manga.

i couldnt care less about typing tbh as long as you understand what im typing also yea i like this character, still doesnt make me a fanboy. cause i have reason and told you how and why there is no way he would lose...as i said itachi could have captured naruto if he really wanted several times (also later in the manga) but i guess youre still missing the point that he was a good guy? he never really supported akatsuki....he just did prevent a fight and the capture of the kyubi by telling he is afraid of jiraya...

manga would say Jiraya>Itachi IF they actually fought and Jiraya won. everything else are just opinions inside the story which mustn even be true....as we have common sense we know itachi was never a good guy. why would he wanna take on and kill one of the legendary heroes of the leaf and catch the kyubii when he actually is inside that very organisation in order to protect his village and the ninja world? i think people nowadays are just unable to read and understand a story...... like for real...think about those "facts" before you claim them to be facts....
e.g. obito claimed to be madara...so thats a manga fact? come on think about it...

Itachi was a double agent if it came down to it he would've had to fight Jman for his cover not to be blown like he did kakashi. You are the one not understanding the story. Manga fact is Obito was madara untill stated otherwise which has been done where has it been said that itachi is stronger than Jman. I employ you find that for me

I actually NEVER used ABC logic, but now that you're talking about it, let me tell you that your example proved me right. Why? Because a lot of people say Itachi is stronger than Jiraiya because Itachi is stronger than Orochimaru, while it was proved that ABC doesn't work in that subject. Also, I used Pain as an example of Jiraiya's strength because they ACTUALLY had a fight and had comparable jutsu's which is actually relevant.

Again, you're the least suitable person to classify who is a fanboy and who isn't. Manga prof please if you are going to make a stament like that. And If i remeber the only jin sasuke fought was B and he got beat and the only kage he fought was A and obito saved him

Both Itachi and J-Man are extreamly dangerous. There are many ways that Itachi could defeat J-Man and there is many ways J-Man could defeat Itachi by. If Itachi were to win, he would have to defeat J-Man pretty quicky. Itachi's body is delicate when it comes to his high classed Uchiha jutsu(Which he will need when he is fighting.). What I am saying is.. If J-Man is putting up the great fight I know he is doing, Itachi would be worn the hell out or defeated before then.

Jiraiya needs to fight with his eyes closed, otherwise he falls to genjutsu no discussion.

Only gai has developed a fighting style that can deal with itachi's genjutsu.

Amaterasu deals with summons.

Jiraiya needs SM in order to put up a fight against Itachi, this is a fact. Base jiraiya simply does not have the speed feats nor the reaction time in order to deal with itachi, taijutsu is jiraiya's biggest disadvantage here.

Notice how Itachi is not saying that Jiraiya could beat him in the last quote, but in Itachi's first quote he thought he was going to die or get injured. They are afraid of Kurama which is inside Naruto.
