Didn't you notice that when sasuke used all of his chakra in the fight, Oro took over? Like Itachi wanted that to happen if he wasn't there, he did sasuke a solid there.

It contains Orochimaru's essence and puts you under Orochi's influence. There is also the danger of Orochi taking you over or the curse seal killing you
