Physical Totsuka Blade and Yata Mirror

Orochimaru mentions how he had been searching for these 2 items for a long while, so I assume that they must actually have physical versions. But, what contradicts this is that Itachi doesn't seem to be carrying anything similar to these items. Maybe they're just small or change size in accordance to the situation. What do you think?

I think they are inherited through lineage and is just a Susanoo weapon

Oro looking for the weapons could mean two things

either :

- there are physical versions of the weapons like you suggested (highly doubt it).

or

- he was looking for the same spiritual versions Itachi had attached to his Susanoo and wanted to study their properties.
also there was no indication/hints about any physical version of the weapons.

the Origin of the weapons and where they were/how Itachi got them could answer all our questions :yeah:

If totsuka was spiritual,it wouldnt be able to cut oro's hydra's heads. When he stabbed orochimaru,orochimaru didnt find it any different from a regular susanoo sword,laughing off saying that this kind of attack(physical) wont hurt him untill it started to seal.

Agreed. It's just the sealing factor that counts.

They were real items Itachi converted to fit his Susano'o.

They do change size and shape.. At least the mirror does, and have shown the ability in the manga.. I believe Blaze once said the sword did also, but cba to go look for those scans..

Those weapons had nothing to do with Susano, they most likely existed long before the first MS user (Madara) , and is hinted to be heavily related to religion. Itachi just holds to weapons their for added versatility.. if he was to take them, i'm sure the sizes would be no bigger than a normal katana and shield...

Yata no Kagami has no physical form, as said in the Databook. Meaning that it's not physical in any way.

Also, Totsuka no Tsurugi has a physicak form, however not a real one. Zetsu said 'no real physical form'. It means that the form has variously changed throughout it's use, meaning no one has witnessed it's true form. Databook ->
