kishi takes some breaks, but sometimes I worry about him... I think he should only release a 16 page chapter every two weeks so he has more time with his family... many people on this site only want him to keep working all hours... but kishi needs more time off to center himself and live healthily instead of slaving away over naruto all the time...

peace and love...

I also just want to say that if kishi needs to take a break for a while and suspend naruto, we as the fans should support him in making that decision. kishi has worked so hard for years now for us, he deserves a break.

Nobody asked him to sign with Shonen Weekly. He knew what he was getting into.

But no he doesn't work hard.

At least he gets paid well. A lot of people work as much or more for much less.

Shonen weekly is tricky because he signed on a long time ago. Shonen weekly should make an exception for their #1 selling mangaka. And he works insanely hard, he produces the entire story, all the drawings and plot and characters every week. that is very difficult work for a mangaka.

Do you see a new manga chapter on here........? Fluck no...he ain't working hard enough.

please do not make posts like this... kishi is doing some of the best work he has done yet.

kishi works much harder than most people, I would be surprised to hear of someone working as hard and as smart as kishi has and earning LESS.

He makes enough money to hire some good assistants, that way he doesn't do nearly as much work as he did back when he started.

Just something to think about, he gets between 5-7 weeks of vacation every year. How many adults on here can say the same ?

But yes, being a Mangaka is not an easy job, it is very demanding. However, for Kishimoto personally the amount of time spent is well worth the money he gets, so you cannot say he works too hard.

All mangaka work insanely hard. It's a terribly demanding job and you really have to have a passion for drawing and story writing to do it. That's why you hear about mangaka getting sick all the time. They work so hard and don't get enough sleep, it actually starts to take a toll on their bodies.

Mangakas do indeed seem to have a hard work load... I'm sure people have seen this before

Now that said does he work TOO hard? Naruto's famous but besides him working on it for a while is it that different from the other weekly manga out there, like somebody else said?
The money can't help when looking for some advantages either I'd assume >_>

Those are his characters that he and his team have drawn hundreds of times. It literally takes under a minute for him and the rest of his team to draw naruto its not really this hard at that point.

The only hard thing I could think of is thinking up the script and where to take the plot.

Bigfatloser unbanned? Dam that was too soon.

On topic: No he's not working hard, when he works hard = 25 pages + no bs + less flashbacks.

Why is your username, bigfatloser?? you're NOT a Loser, even if someone is fat, there is no right to call that person a loser, everyone has weight in them,

OT. yes they do, akira toriyama even stated he barely got sleep sometimes, working hours on the manga

Kishi also states in interviews that he works hard and gets inspiration by movies and cartoons, he watches how to train your dragon Lol

sometimes he listen to music while working but takes it off

being a manga author, especially a popular one, is very tough, it's not simple as drawing a character and the field and wala
