[Kenjutsu]The way of the blade with Nathan

"Okay can you tell me please, what is kenjutsu is please, what does it involve and why would you like to learn it?"

 

[Vegeta]

Kenjutsu literally means "Sword Technique" and it pertains to techniques that entail the use of swords, whether the users be shinobi, or samurai. Kenjutsu can be used in combination with taijutsu, ninjutsu, chakra flow and even genjutsu in order to achieve more devastating techniques. The entire military might of the lone samurai nation of the Land of Iron, have so-far all been depicted as practitioners of Kenjutsu. Among the shinobi nations, the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist are particularly well known as Kenjutsu practitioners.
I would love to learn Kenjutsu to become more rounded in battle, I love the idea of being able to RP sword attacks with fine tuned detail

Short and sweet, I like that. Okay now I want you to attack my clone using your blade, I want you to explain to me while attacking my clone, how you want to go about it, remember to attack him, use creative moves and stances, I need you to be as detailed as you can, like you're trying to kill my clone. GO!

I begin by unsheathing my sword, holding the sheath in my left hand while slowly drawing out a katana with my dominant right hand, creating a noise like "shiiiing" as the blade exits the sheath. At that moment, I see your clone gulp as the noise has clearly made it aware that it's end was nigh. I begin to run at the clone in a zig-zag pattern with both arms back ninja style. At about 1 1/2 meters away, I do a slide to the clones right side similar to that in baseball, bring my right arm back and up holding the sword almost straight upwards with my left arm extended forward, left leg extended forward with my right leg curled creating a figure 4 shape. As I slide to the clones right side, I swing the sword from right to left slicing the clone straight across both upper shins, separating from the knee's downward on both legs from it's body. As I slide past the clone I dig in my left heel which pops me up to a standing position as the clone collapses backwards, landing on it's back directly to my right side. I glance downward at the clone as I fling the sword into the air above me. Nothing personal I say as the sword has arched like a lawn dart, and is coming down point first. I catch the handle of the sword in my right hand and drive it downward into the clones chest, I twist the blade 90* inside the clones body before extracting my blade and flinging the blood off of it making yet another "shiiing" noise as I do. Of course the blood poofs away as the clone does.

(Ken Rendan no Jutsu) - Sword Barrage Technique

Description: With this technique, the user will make a sequence of slashes with their sword and finishes with a powerful final slash dealing liberal damage to their enemy.

Pretty much all you have to do is, get in close and take out your sword, deal about 5 or so slashes in any direction on your targets body; once you have completed and dealt the slashes, deal a powerful final slash where ever you want, I would personally use the make the final strike down the middle of his body.

(Ken Rendan no Jutsu) - Sword Barrage Technique

[B]One/three advantages:[/B]
[LIST][*]1. can be worded to be a very serious attack, the imagination of the user is it's limit (And rank, etc: xD)[*]2. That final slash, combined with a little raiton coating, would make a head pop straight off a body to the ground[*]3. Seems like a decent counter to incoming taijutsu attacks if used in at just the right moment[*][/LIST]
[B]One/three disadvantages:[/B]
[LIST][*]1. Short ranged[*]2. The more attacks you say you make, the weaker each blow becomes (?)[*]3. Could be countered relatively easy if the enemy becomes aware of you or isn't incapacitated in some manner[*][/LIST]
[B]How you would use it in battle:[/B] I'd love to try this after emerging from the ground directly behind my enemy, or combine it with silent killing for a serious attack, maybe even and end move
[B]How you would counter it:[/B] Perhaps Lightning Armour would do the trick
[B]How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):[/B] As I silently approach my enemy from behind I unsheathe my sword into my right hand and before they detect my presence I quickly raise the sword and perform a downward slice at a 45* angle from right to left and continue to swing the motion clockwise as I bring my right arm upwards and again slice downward from left to right and continue this sequence once more slicing one handed with my sword in an infinity symbol type motion for 4 blows and after connecting the last blow downward from left to right I twist my wrist to the right slightly and swing across the enemies back from right to left straight across the "X" created from the previous slices and as the sword slices thru their back, I grab the base of the sword with my left hand while twisting my hips counter-clockwise and also twisting both wrists in the same manner making the blade point downward at an angle somewhat as I plant my weight onto my left foot, and swivel my hips to the right launching off my left foot as I draw back with both hands holding firm on the handle and swing clockwise delivering a devastating upward slice from left to right, slightly leaving my feet a few inches as I allow the motion of my swing to carry my body around 360* and landing facing the enemy as they collapse to the ground face first in front of me

2. The more attacks you say you make, the weaker each blow becomes (?) - No, not with us ninjas.

(Ikari Nomikomu no Jutsu) - Fury Swallow Technique

Description: The user punches the opponent a few times and finishes them with two final slashes with their blade or sword.

Go up to my clone and perform a simple forward punch and repeat the punching for a few times, then once you have completed that, grab out your sword and perform two slashes anyway you want, at my clone. This should be enough to make me go poof. This technique is simple yet effective for such a low ranked technique, and can be used in many combos.

(Ikari Nomikomu no Jutsu) - Fury Swallow Technique

[LIST][*]1. Is short ranged[*]2. leaves an opening between the punches and pulling out the sword[*]3. C ranked[*][/LIST]
[B]How you would use it in battle:[/B] I would use this as an in between maneuver, or as a finishing move after 2 powerful jutsu's
[B]How you would counter it:[/B]Lightning armour or sufficient ranked jutsu, or something to get out of range
[B]How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):[/B]As I approach your clone I gather my chakra, and as I reach the clone I begin pummeling the clone in the chest with my closed fists, right, left, right, left and as the left punch connects I am already reaching with my right hand towards my swords handle on my left hip, unsheathing it as I plant my right foot in front of me delivering an upward slash as I unsheathe it and twist my hips into the slash adding to the momentum and force, I follow this up by bringing down my right arm a little and swinging from right to left across the clones throat, causing it to puff away

I will teach you this one anyway. Take this wooden tanto of mine, then get up close near my clone, then proceed to use the tanto to hit him many times, anyway you want.

[LIST][*]1.As a very small sword, I imagine the tanto is good to pull out quickly at a lunging opponent[*]2.Does a fair amount of damage[*]3. could be held with the blade downward while making a fist, allowing one to punch and if the punch misses, the blade with still hit them (Or at least that's how I'd use one xD)[*][/LIST]

[LIST][*]1.Very short so the enemy would have to be right on top of you to use[*]2.Short ranged[*]3.Sorry, I can't think of a 3rd[*][/LIST]
[B]How you would use it in battle:[/B] I would flip it 180 degree's, blade still facing out and holding it like I was in a punching stance, like Asuma did with his blades

[B]How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):[/B] As I approach your clone, I focus on channeling my chakra into my arms, and I pull out a wooden tanto in my right hand, drawing it back high above my head as I reach it, and proceed to beat the clone about his head with the tanto from right to left to right to left, before poking the clone in the eyes with my index and middle fingers and making "nyuk yuk yuk" noises like Curly from the 3 stooges, causing the clone to poof away

(Rakkasui) - Falling Water

Description: The user will drop down upon the opponent from mid air pointing their sword downwards and drilling it down into the opponent.

Somehow get yourself up into the air, around the mid-air side, above your target then with your sword pointing downwards above them, drill the sword down into them. Handy if you are already up in the air.

(Rakkasui) - Falling Water

[LIST][*]1. can be used when forced to jump by an enemy[*]2. Can be used after using a jutsu that states you have to jump in order to use it, makes for a great finishing combo move[*]3.Would almost definitely be a kill shot if not defended[*][/LIST]
[B]One/three disadvantages:[/B]
[LIST][*]1. Can only be performed in mid air[*]2. is limited in range for attack, leaving you vulnerable if trying to execute as an outright attack[*][/LIST]
[B]How you would use it in battle:[/B] Most certainly as a finishing move, perhaps with that Fury Swallow technique, using the 2nd final slash as a jumping upward slash, then using this to come back down drilling it into their sternum as I land on top of them running them thru
[B]How you would counter it:[/B]Probably the same as above, a proper ranked jutsu, maybe like lightning armor, or with a Kenjutsu attack of my own
[B]How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):[/B]I approach the clone as I gather my chakra, and jump in the air a few meters in front of him, jumping 3 meters high as I quickly unsheathe my sword and grasp it blade downward with both hands, driving it downward forcefully as I land on the clones chest plunging the sword between it's breast plate severing his life from his body ^_^ as it poofs away

(Bakuchi Tori Kuzu Oujou) – Gambling Bird Arrowroot Death

Description: The user bolts in front of the enemy who they then strike with their sword handle before delivering several kicks that sends the enemy into the air. The user then bolts across to the far off location of the enemy who they then punch violently into an obstacle.

Okay with this one, I want you to run up or bolt as it says towards my clone, using your sword handle I want you to hit the clone once, then proceed to kick him, many times and with the finally kick send him up into the air, now as the clone is falling, I want you to punch him so it sends him flying into the tree behind yes, this technique is good since it's one technique with some many attacks, only bad thing is that is your target manages to block/counter lets say the kicks, the whole technique would else flop.

(Bakuchi Tori Kuzu Oujou) – Gambling Bird Arrowroot Death

[LIST][*]1. Delivers multiple blows[*]2. Uses your sword as a medium for a free form tai attack[*]3. squeezes all thosw move into one move, so it could be used after performing 2 other moves/jutsu's for added damage[/LIST]
[B]One/three disadvantages:[/B]
[LIST][*]1. creates many openings for the enemy[*]2. would be hard to use unless the enemy is incapacitated pretty well[*]3. There's just too many chances for the enemy to mess this up for you[*][/LIST]
[B]How you would use it in battle:[/B] I would try to emerge from the ground behind the enemy (non sensor type of course) and begin the attack from behind, leaving them little chance to counter, or if they had been shocked pretty good beforehand
[B]How you would counter it:[/B] Getting outta range, Lightning armour though it's a rank weaker might fend off the incoming attack
[B]How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):[/B] As I draw my sword while zig zagging at the clone, I turn the blade downward so that the bottom of the handle if facing out towards the clone, and put both hands on the handle as I reach the clone. I drive both hands forward in a thrusting motion hitting the clone square in the chest knocking him back. As he recoils, I start to deliver a fury of kicks to his mid-section, 2 front lefts and 2 front right kicks with the final right kick being harder in force and aimed upward, knocking the clone up into the air, As I pull my right hand from the sword drawing it back along with my right leg which I plant mt weight on, and as the clone is falling down and is about eye level with me I swivel my hips counter clockwise driving my right fist forward in a hard straight punch, slamming into the falling clone sending him flying backwards into a tree behind him, sending him back to cloneville as he poofs away from the impact.

(Rensei Shinkuken) – Drilling Crimson Blade

Description: The user takes out their blade and channels chakra into it. They then run towards the opponent, slashing them upwards into the air and then appear above him/her, and deliver a sharp, drilling slash down upon them, impelling them into the ground.

Okay so with this one, you'll need to channel some chakra into your blade from there, run towards my clone, then by using your sword slash your sword upwards on the body of my clone, this should push him into the air, then you'll want to appear above him, by using your sword once more hit him with a drilling slash that sends him into the ground, with of course the sword also impelled into him.

Man this move reminds me of something, a game or something, but I can see it's use clearly, this ones pretty good
(Rensei Shinkuken) – Drilling Crimson Blade

Impales them into the ground, if successful that will do a ton of damage, more I think than it's damage points say[*]3.You get to channel chakra into your blade which is always fun xD and appearing above the enemy is nice, almost like teleporting, kind, sorta, OK not really[*][/LIST]
[B]One/three disadvantages:[/B]
[LIST][*]1. Short ranged[*]2. That's all I got, besides it's range, it seems like that 2nd blow could kill[/LIST]
[B]How you would use it in battle:[/B]Man, you could use this at anytime it seems, front, back, middle, take your pick. I'm really digging this one. Definitely would use in a tight situation or as a finisher once I got close enough 
[B]How you would counter it:[/B] A proper ranked defense, something lightning armour like, or Earth release Armour(If I ever get to that jutsu)
[B]How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):[/B]I gather up my chakra while quickly unsheathing my sword with my right hand, molding the chakra to coat the blade in a thin layer of chakra increasing it's lethality as I run towards the clone, I bring the sword to the right and downward behind me twisting my shoulders clockwise and bringing the left shoulder slightly down as I grabbed the handle with my left hand as well, and as I reach 1 meter before the clone I swiftly swing my momentum counter clockwise and upward at an angle to the left in an upward 2 handed slash that cuts from the right waistline to the left shoulder and sends the clone air born. As soon as the clone can even blink I appear above it, smiling as I descend upon it with both hands on the handle, blade pointing downward, and drive the blade into it's chest as we both hit the ground with me on top, both hands on the base of the handle, the added momentum driving the sword the rest of the way thru the clones body impaling it to the ground before it poofs away

(Suraisu Shinku no Nami) - Slicing Crimson Wave

Description: The user does a simple cresent-shaped slash at the opponent, expelling a red chakra wave.

This one is one of the more used techniques, since it is straight forward and well easy to pull off, what I want you to do is, gather your chakra in your blade and from there, I want you slash downwards to release a crescent shaped slash, at my clone. This technique releases a red wave of chakra, it's handy for targets that are at mid-range of you, and just an overall good technique.

[LIST][*]1. Flipping freaking cool wave of doom! Mid ranged :love:[*]2. Very fast to execute[*]3. Can be combined with lots of other Kenjutsu tech's as your sword is already drawn, making it even faster to execute[*][/LIST]

[LIST][*]1. Not long ranged[*]2. Not A ranked? tough when you really like a jutsu to find things wrong with it ^^[*]3. It's not blue 0_0 red is such a disturbing color to me[*][/LIST]
[B]How you would use it in battle:[/B] This would be great to use as a move that occurs the same time as a jutsu that takes a little more time to happen, like (Raiton: Ikazuchi no Kiba) - Lightning Release: Fangs of Lightning or something of that nature
[B]How you would counter it:[/B] A jutsu to get out of range or underground, a proper ranked defensive jutsu
[B]How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):[/B]I gather up my chakra while raising my sword and quickly slash across the air in front of me releasing a wave of red chakra that shoots across at your clone, striking him across his chest murderizing him
