The only way Jiraiya can defeat Itachi is with Sage Mode, and by the time he manages to pull it out, Itachi will have had plenty of opportunities to defeat him.

Sage Mode Jiraiya > Itachi 8/10 times
Itachi > Jiraiya before Sage Mode 8>10 times

my friends itachi is the solo king.......... he solo's him high difficulty, he forces him to use his MS up to the point of pulling out susanoo and using totsuka blade on him and guys jiraiya doesn't take long to go in sage mode all he has to do is summon which is very fast and ma n pa go into it instantly since they have masterd it to perfection

If Jaraiya can hold against 3 paths before Sage Mode, the toad can take on an Itachi. Where is the common sense these days?

If Jiraiya starts in SM, he has a chance to win via Kage Bunshin [he would use this if he had intel on Itachi's eye techniques], otherwise he loses. The manga never said Jiraiya > Itachi and Kisame, but the Kyuubi > Itachi and Kisame.

Hard to say who would win.. Jiraya is pretty fast and strong + LOTS of experience.. i'm just saying.. this match could go either way.

Itachi low diff.

-Jiraiya with the toads have no knowledge on Itachi's prowess of Genjutsu. Tsukuyomi was shown to target 3 people as evident Kakashi warned Kuranai and Asuma not to look at his eyes. Tsukuyomi one shots them easily.

-Can't sense the Chakra build up in Itachi's eyes due to his lack of complete mastery over Sage mode. He doesn't have the speed to avoid it either. So Amatersu would burn him into an ash.

-Doesn't have enough fire-power to penetrate through Yata. Susanoo would manhandle him.

As Itachi did to Orochimaru, he will repeat the same thing to Jiraiya.
