I can actually agree with this. And typically I don't get along well with the vast minority of people who stick it out way too far in my own fanbase.
But in some specific defense, a lot of them merely share theories and ideas. Though they are over-the-top, a lot of people antagonize them for this. I don't see crediting your character more than what he is for to be anything remotely near harmful, unless they use it falsely in debates weighing on Manga factual evidence.
And also keep in mind the opposite side Isn't purrdy perfection themselves. Naruto fanboys have their knack for throwing around crummy insults like no tomorrow, at the character and at his fans. I think they deal with it rather pettily. I have personal experience. I got called a b*tch for saying my favorite character was Sasuke. XD

And like Raekwon said, it is childish. And MAJORLY contradicting. The point I'm trying to make clear here is that weighing one side to be completely at fault and attacking the character for it is deplorable. It takes two to tango, yeah?

I honestly don't think the latter would happen, after Kishi's hinting of Sasuke and his affairs to be the final phase of the story.. Or at least the phase after Madara. If he's going to die, he's going to die by Naruto. And Naruto wouldn't kill him.
So the only factor that really makes me follow the chance of him dying is the fact that my analyses are inferior to the creator of the Manga rotfl

Sasuke fanbase is the most vocal and honestly they spend more time trolling and making hate threads than ANY other fanbase. they claim to love Sasuke yet make more threadz downing Naruto than anything, dealing with them projects their douche bag ways onto his character for me, call it what you want, but the fact is the shittier the fanbase, the shittier the projection of that character is, and honestly the sasuke fanbase is 1 of the shittiest, they have the most prolific trolls and are the most vocal when it comes to hate threadz. Honestly at this point I don't care and it is what it is, but it's no mystery why sasuke as a character is hated on around here.

At this point I believe both of them have the power to kill each other. A briefing of the recent chapters can enlighten you of this, don't get too cocky with Naruto's power. As a matter of fact, don't get too cocky with either.
If Naruto ever worked the desire to kill Sasuke, that would completely wipe out the purpose of this series and have many people question its morality, trust me.

I've seen a great deal of the Naruto fanbase level out the same way. It's really based by your own keen observation and judgments. There ARE admirable Sasuke fans out there, I've seen quite a few such as shelke and volatilesoul; and I don't mean to bust an ego, but I think I do fairly well myself. Of course, like any other human being you'll rely your conscious opinion based on the majority of negativity spawned by Sasuke fans, and not take to heart what those whom actually make sense have to say. It's irrational to generalize a fanbase. I WOULD call it contradictory.
And throwing around insults; what better way to clarify my point here? It doesn't matter if it's your opinion or not. Your opinion doesn't shape fact.

Yeah the Shonen "facts" are truly unrealistic and sickening. I think Death Note was the only one that came close to a better taste, with the main character actually dying.
