Respect for sakura

... It seems to be lacking here. Her story is one of struggling to overcome her lack of, for lack of a better word, specialness.

During part 1, it seemed as though every single person around sakura had some special ability and a promise to become great ninja, whereas all sakura had was a voice in her head and her cry no jutsu. Face it, part 1 sakura was useless... Or was she?

I think kishi made part 1 sakura useless intentionally to show us our potential. Like I said, part 1 sakura was weak as hell, but current sakura is definitly top 25. With yin seal and her power strikes and her int. level, she is all but unbeatable in close range. But how does that show us OUR potential?

Simple. Sakuras character is like any one of us. We see people around us with special traits/looks/abilities and we want to be awesome just like they are, we just need to grow up and get determined to accomplish these things. Sakura busted her butt to get where she is without a demon or special eyes or a kkg, just a regular person who is now an awesome ninja and possibly a greater medic than tsunade.

Long story short, part 1 sakura was useless until she became determined and tried harder, now she's awesome.. We are the same as her.

Sakura is one of the most humane characters in the manga which probably makes people mad. They don't want admit that they're all humane. They want to look up to characters like Minato and Madara who are as far from a humane character than anyone could be. They wish to overcome their own flaws.

I actually identify a bit with Sakura. She lacked confidence a lot when she was a child, bullied every day.
She overcame it, just like I did.

Sakura was useless in part 1, she was the brain and the heart of the team. She was the one keeping the team together in a sense. And her being "useless" as you guys call it, made Naruto and Sasuke get the development they needed to be wear they are. We have seen her skills too in part 1 that weren't that flashy but they were still impressive, she was simply held back to play that damsel role

I think you're looking too much into the character. You're reading in-between lines that were never written so to speak. Kishi was always horrible with female characters, Sakura is what I like to call Uselessly strong, she has all this strength but because Kishi doesn't know how to handle females ends up fodderizing her at every turn no matter what she does. Her crying and stupid Sasuke obsession is what pisses people off. Ma niqqa tries to kill you then appears later and you're already willing to ride his D and turn your back on the guy who's been protecting you AND saved you from the very Sasuke himself. Great now I wanna burn her with Ameterasu ._.

Sakura is one of the stronger characters for sure. I'd say she's currently the most powerful in the K12 after Naruto and Sasuke, but she lags a long way behind those two. I think she gets a lot of grief because she is supposed to be part of this trinity with Naruto and Sasuke, who are both clearly much more powerful than she is.

sure .................... don't really have an opinion on Sakura as a character and i don't get why people can't grasp the fact that she's the medic of team7 and so far she did her job well (impressive feats in the war arc), so it's like being disappointed about Itachi not having any medical/healing jutsu (not his role/specialization).

if there's anything annoying about this character, it's her over the top attachment to the kid (Sasuke) that tried to kill her/her village/her sensei/her friends BUT, the same can be said about Naruto himself :yeah:

She has healing Jutsu, Neji gets massively impaled, does she heal him...? NOPE ._. Sits at sidelines like a *****. Delivers 1 punch on fodder, doesn't even finish it and thinks that she is Naruto/Sasuke level for it. NOPE. She says she doesn't need their saving and immediately needs them to rescue her. She is a fail of a failure standing in the way of my NaruHina <3.

I wasn't a Sakura fan until Part II after her Sannin training under Tsunade. I made a thread about this very subject awhile back. As you mentioned she represents the average human potential. As you said, she wasn't born under the Uchiha, Uzumaki, or Senju clan. No special traits or KG, yet she is still hands down one of the best medical ninja in the Narutoverse.

Her obsession with Sasuke is annoying I will give her haters that. I mean c'mon. Sasuke apologized to Karin over Sakura and she still fawns over him. I blame Kishi for this as he just doesn't know how to right for women but still that is no excuse. He could have learned to do so or hired a writer who does and collaborate with him/her.

But I digress. I have respect for Sakura as well. At least the crying has toned down a lot since the war arc began.
