It is not my aim to 'strike out' against Sasori fans or the character himself. This is made mainly out of boredom, and of course my opinion that Tobirama isn't defended as abundantly as other characters. Be that as it may I will try to remain as unbiased as possible, and provide reasons for why Tobirama trumps Sasori in this fight. Enjoy.
* As Sasori's full potential has only been shown inside the Akatsuki hideout I feel it's only fair for this to be the location.
* While the implementation of Edo Tensei makes Tobirama's victory a certainty, hopefully everything else will give you clause to agree that he needn't use it. Similarly; while I aim to convince you that Tobirama can defeat Sasori before he gets the bulk of his arsenal out, for the sake of fairness I will provide argumentation on how Tobirama can still survive even if Sasori starts with the Kazekage out.
With all that in mind I think it's more than fair to say that Tobirama would put Hiruko down without much difficulty based on what he's shown.
In conclusion; whilst Sasori was without a doubt a strong Shinobi worthy of his place in the Akatsuki and is generally wrongly overlooked by most members of this site as a wooden man who got soloed by an old woman and Sakura, Chiyo herself was largely to credit for their victory as was Sakura's inteligence in making the poison, even then Sasori allowed himself to be killed at the very end and while we never got to see the other 200 puppets in Sasori's arsenal I doubt he would've been able to if given the chance, as the chakra constraints would be too great. I believe that whilst Sasori is strong - evidenced by the fact he defeated the "strongest Kazekage", he just isn't able to handle Tobirama's speed, versatility and multi-frontal assault capabilities.

Section One: Triumph Over The Puppet Hiruko
We've established that the most logical way to begin for Tobirama is to observe his opponent and plan his movements from the Intel he gathers, but how would he, and for that matter his clones fare when Sasori begins to unleash the deadly arsenal that's hidden away within Hiruko? I shall elaborate, but before I start, I need to clarify something:
People attribute Sakura's whole survival against Sasori as down to Chiyo; which, for the most part is absolutely true, however, Chiyo herself states that Hiruko had been modified somewhat in the last 20 years; even noting that several new additions have been made - which she had no idea of [
You can see in that slide that both Sakura and Chiyo were physically capable of evading an attack of which they had no prior Intel of. Now what is important to note is that Sakura and Chiyo are not known for their speed feats. Now although Chiyo was controlling Sakura at that moment in time, (Which is saying something on how easy it should be to dodge.) she still had to operate within the constraints of Sakura's physical capabilities, meaning that although it was most likely Chiyo's reflexes that allowed Sakura to dodge the Senbon, the actual evasion was all within Sakura's physical capabilities.
Now for the mouth Senbon:
You see in that slide that Sakura was able to spot an oncoming attack from Hiruko's mouth with nil notion of what was coming; also take note of the extreme linearity of the attack in comparison to the arm's unpredictable, multi-directional attack pattern, whilst also noting that, again, Sakura not only reacted to it, but dodged it.
This attack also leaves Sasori in a vulnerable state; if the Kage Bushin were to factor in this fight, they could initiate an attack from Hiruko's blind spots.
Tobirama, in contrast to these two, is not only much faster, but also has displayed superior reactions.
From what little we've seen displayed from Tobirama, we know he is able to cross-country within short periods of time (The hidden leaf to the battlefield.), a distance that would normally take days to traverse, and although he's not nearly as fast as Minato or V2 Raiton Shunshin Ay, he compared Minato's speed to his own. [
And in terms of reactions Tobirama being able to not only react and tag Obito with his Hirashin seal once he became the fastest Shinobi alive, but also plaster him with explosives is among the best in the series. [
With the superior feats that Tobirama has shown in mind, I firmly believe we can conclude that Tobirama and his Clones can easily evade Hiruko's long range arsenal.

Sub Section One: Intelligence Gathering
When one is facing an opponent with unknown capabilities and strengths, any and all information that can be gathered can make all the difference. As we all know the Kage Bushin transmits all information gathered from experience directly to the user, whilst the user themselves is able to observe and compile a hypothesis based on the information gathered from multiple angles, and not just dangerously rush in as Orochimaru stated it would be foolish for someone who has the Jutsu to not use it in that regard. [

Stage One | Tobirama goes on the offensive
Once Tobirama has concluded on Hiruko's strengths and weaknesses he can then go on the offensive, but if by any event the Senbon or other mid-range weapons Sasori has in store were to show any possibility of striking Tobirama or his Bushin, he could simply use
Tobirama's true lethality comes in the form of using 'Taju Kage Bushin No Jutsu' (essentially making more than several clones.). For those that would challenge this claim, even Kakashi could do such a feat. [
Ultimately, Hiruko falls, and the chances of Sasori escaping intact are highly unlikely. Unfortunately we never got to see the true scope of Hiruko's potential, after all Sasori chose it as his main puppet for a reason.

] It's more about chakra input than anything else, theoretically any Shinobi can do it. This can be used in order to attack Hiruko's blind spots. Be it from one of Tobirama's clones or many, Hiruko has neither the speed, nor the durability to withstand or evade a singular or multiple assault from

, which was capable of cutting through several massive appendages of the Shinju in one stroke - which absorbs Chakra, making it all the more impressive. Even Hiruko's tail cannot block this attack, as it was easily broken by the Sandaime's attack, the reason being that it was made of weak Iron, much like Satetsu. One could assert, based on this evidence, that Tobirama by himself could strike out against Hiruko - with Sasori inside - right at the start of the conflict and that Tobirama would not only cut through Hiruko's tail, but Hiruko himself, and then Sasori all in one blow.

Section Two: Overcoming The Strongest Kazekage | Sasori's Strongest Puppet
Indeed, in terms of surviving the Kazekage's non-Satetsu arsenal - which by manga cannon Sasori resorts to before he enacts Satetsu Tobirama will not be faced with much difficulty, there's the subsequent Kage Bushin ambush as stated in the sub-section, or the enactment of Suiton: Suidanha if the Kazekage made a rush, frontal assault. [
Nothing much else to say, really, I've listed numerous ways that Tobirama can beat Sasori so far without much difficulty, but the real question on everyone's minds is how Tobirama survives Satetsu, or as it's better known: Iron Sand.

Sub-Section Two: Establishing The Kazekage's weaknesses | Predictability
This is something I want to get out of the way right now, as I'll be arguing for it later.
The Sandaime Kazekage is truly a Puppet to be feared, of that much there's no question, but what has to be highlighted is the predictability of it's attacks (even Satetsu, bar Iron Sand: World Order.) which even Sakura - whilst barely being able to evade Sasori's onslaught herself, was still more than capable to pick up on, and even began to see patterns in his attacks. [

Assuming this fight would take place right after Tobirama and his boys destroyed Hiruko, the Kage Bushins would still be present, if not; i.e., if the fight was fresh, he can simply bring our more, as they simply require one seal.
The presence of Kage Bushin would allow Tobirama to exploit a flaw when using puppetry: the weakness of the chakra strings.
The control of all of Sasori's puppets lie in the Chakra strings that form the basis of the art of Puppetry; they're indispensable for controlling puppets, acting as the nerves that send orders on how the Kazekage - and the Puppets of his Akahigi: Hyakki no Sōen operate. Simply put, without these strings the Puppets couldn't operate and would thus succumb to sure destruction by Tobirama and his clones.
Why is this valid? well one of the practical elements Sasori has used with the Kazekage involves sending his puppet to his opponent to enact an offensive strike. [
Not only does the art of puppetry require a users heightened attention, but a puppeteer's but in the event of being fought up close themselves, they are at their weakest - it was for that exact reason Hiruko was devised [
[
If a scuffle did come to bear fruit (unlikely, considering the fact puppetry requires a user's attention, as shown in one of the scans above then, although Sasori's primary body, Scorpion, is capable of defending itself, it would be no match for Tobirama's skills.
This whole situation can be relevant before, or during Sasori's implementation of Satetsu, as well as in section three - when Sasori employs his 100 puppets

Section Two: Defeating Satetsu
Already, before any blows would've been traded, Satetsu exposes a fundamental weakness: it's poor speed at getting combat ready [
Whilst that attack is certainly fast and effective it leaves the user undefended in the event that it has been dodged or used, as Sasori has to re-gather all his Sand.
Yet another flaw that can be easily exploited by someone with Kage Bushin, FTG, fast Shunshin Speed and long range techniques and one that would spell disaster for Sasori. Again, in the event that Tobirama and his Kage Bushin allow Sasori to re-gather his sand and proceed to the next attack with Satetsu spears, they can be easily dodged, as they are far too linear to hit moving targets. [
As we move swiftly on (ignoring the fact that attack would again open Sasori up to an attack) we will now look at the next stage in Sasori's arsenal, and it's a truly frightening one - the Satetsu constructs
These two are perhaps the deadliest things in Sasori's whole arsenal, the prism mimicking a sword and the cuboid mimicking a shield. They later join together to make Iron Sand: World order.
For all their destructive tendencies they will still amount to nothing when paired up against Tobirama's jutsu. In the event of the prism's sword lunge, it can simply be dodged (like it was by Sakura) via Shunshin or Hirashin. [
Without dwelling on this matter too much all I'll leave you with is the fact that by this point Sakura had already began seeing through Sasori's attack pattern. [

Frankly Tobirama and co could assail Sasori right then and there and most likely finish him off, but in the event that Tobirama allows him to get ready and initiate an attack, although his attacks are fast, Chiyo was able to defend herself whilst moving Sakura out if range with only a puppet, and this was after Sasori began his attack.

Iron Sand: World Order | Shortcomings
Thus Sasori would be forced to use Iron Sand: World Order to try to finish Tobirama. But like before, it wouldn't be met with good results. The key selling point of the argument is that due to the sheer sporadic and inter-branching nature of the technique, Tobirama won't survive it's attack. Whilst I don't deny that if Tobirama were hit by such an attack it'd spell his downfall (If the poison is still on the sand and not washed off.). What is important to remember, however is that there's no guarantee it will even come into contact with Tobirama; considering it has a relatively short range, that Chiyo was unscathed by it. [

On the flip side, however, Tobirama poses his own threat to World order due to the sheer destructive ability of Suiton: Suidanha. The Jutsu can be implemented for defence in this scenario by cutting through any Iron Spikes that come his way. The fact the spikes are not only thinly branched, but also made of weak Iron won't help them here, they lack the durability of the Shinju tree's roots - which Tobirama cut through like butter.

Section Three - Tobirama Versus Akahigi: Hyakki no Sōen
The Hyakki no Sōen is truly a dangerous Jutsu that is worthy of respect, noted for being able to take down a whole nation, but let's not be fooled by sheer numbers here; they are nothing but mindless puppets that can only use Taijutsu, and are only a threat because of the poisonous weapons they wield, the fact they can fly, and their numbers. What needs to be mentioned is even Sakura - who was well beyond her physical limit, was able to dodge their strikes when attacked from all sides.[
Sasori defending himself in the case a direct attack whilst maintaining the Jutsu is unlikely, as it was no where indicated in the manga that Sasori can use these puppets individually, in fact it's quite the opposite, as Sasori looked extremely concentrated while using the Jutsu, and was unable to react properly to the seal Sakura threw at him. Section Four - The Puppet Scorpion | Sasori's lookalike
After Tobirama has whittled down Sasori's defences and reduced it down to Sasori's last body, there's not much else Sasori has going for him to last against Tobirama. Whilst he still poses a threat to Tobirama to the very end, any of Tobirama's Jutsu can overcome him, especially the Suiton. And while yes his body is resilient, and yes he can always swap to one of the many dysfunctional puppets that linger, Tobirama's sensory abilities and perceptive skills will tell him the only thing stopping him from victory is Sasori's core - which can be dealt with easily, using the methods stated prior.

Side Point- Tobirama Using Hirashin.
I never thought I'd have to argue that Tobirama would use a Jutsu he invented, it really sounds like a joke to argue against that. He clearly does. [

People may be confused when I mention how Tobirama will cut through things like Iron Sand: World order, especially when I say it's made of weak Iron. In case people didn't know, Iron in real life is actually very weak, weaker than Aluminium, but much heavier, and that's where the Satetsu spears get their destructive capability.
In contrast, hydro pressure cannons are used in modern society to cut through Steel and even Diamond. Whilst I make no arguments that Tobirama can cut through either I think it's fair to say he can cut thin Iron.

Side Point - The magnetised Armor Argument.
This isn't something that deserves much attention, but as people still see it as a valid point, I'll address it.
People believe that Tobirama can't fight because he will be magnetised by Satetsu and thus become Sasori's puppet, that wouldn't be the case as Sasori would have to strike Tobirama first. In the unlikely event he is magnetised he can simply remove the armor.
All that happens it Tobirama get's faster.
