Mascara could tell if it was hasiramas wood clone so a shadow clone is no big deal espeacially since he has already noticed it was a shadow clone before around chapter 602-606

I could see it but if it is a shadow clone, the chakra is still evenly divided, which means madara still took half of kurama which is enough to revive the juubi

Naw I don't think so. I think shadow clones are just chakra. They may be copies, but they are a distribution of chakra, not a division of life and/or soul (please prove me wrong if I am, I want to know). Naruto would lose stamina from having a clone utterly consumed, but that's it. If Kurama lost half of its chakra, that's half it could get back by molding more. The reason it was split when Minato took half of its power is because he used a soul-consuming jutsu, which definitely did divide a piece off of Kurama's soul.

If you're strictly talking about how the chakra is all that is needed, rather than the beast itself, that could be different. Does the statue really just need just the chakra or does Madara actually truly need a real piece of the beast?

No certainly no, if it was a shadow clone, Madara would have seen it as he did when he saw naruto against obito.
