Ok, I have seen numerous threads on this subject, but most of them just seem unlikely. So I have decided to make my own. Enjoy.
First thing first, lets look at how Kishimoto has killed other over-powered characters in the past.
As we can see, Kishimoto foreshadowed their weakness which resulted in their deaths. This for the most part is ABC logic. A: weakness, + B: Plot, = C: Death/Change of heart.
So lets see what type of foreshadowing Kishimoto has pulled for Madara.
Now kishimoto has given us a huge inkling as to what we expect to be Madara's downfall.
Lets take a look at the risks Madara faces for being human.
Madara has Hashirmama's sage mode, so chakra is not a problem. He also has Hashirmama's ability to heal without using hand signs, so being critically wounded is not a problem either. So that just leaves us with a disease.
So Madara will die by a disease or some type of poison… Seems legit.
Now, I still expect Madara to put up a great fight though.
*This is just a theory. I am not saying my thread is better than everyone else. I just do not think they are reasonable outcomes.
First thing first, lets look at how Kishimoto has killed other over-powered characters in the past.
- Kakuzu: After the death of Asuma, Shikamaru devised a plan to kill him by using his partner's jutsu against him. This ultimately did not kill him, but it did help. Once Kakuzu was weakened, Naruto swung by, used his new jutsu, and bam. Kakuzu was dead.
- Foreshadowing: Hidan's Jutsu gave us a hint on how Kakuzu could be defeated/injured, and Naruto's training to perfect a new jutsu also gave us an inkling of how Kakuzu would be defeated.
- Itachi: Disease.
- Foreshadowing: Itachi was coughing up blood throughout the manga which indicated that he was sick. As a result it could be conclude that he would die from a sickness.
- Kimiaro: Disease.
- Foreshadowing: Coughing up blood and also shown to be plugged up to machines. He also mentioned that he was sick to begin with. This would ultimately lead the the conclusion that he would die from his sickness.

Now kishimoto has given us a huge inkling as to what we expect to be Madara's downfall.
Lets take a look at the risks Madara faces for being human.
- Disease
- Limited Chakra Reserves
- Critically injured
Madara has Hashirmama's sage mode, so chakra is not a problem. He also has Hashirmama's ability to heal without using hand signs, so being critically wounded is not a problem either. So that just leaves us with a disease.
*Madara having Hashirmama's DNA as long a sage mode pose risks within themselves. However I am not going to mess with them because the risks are negligible considering the fact Madara lived off of Hashirmama's cells for at least one generation, and he has also shown to have excellent chakra control, so sage mode won't pose any threat to him.
So Madara will die by a disease or some type of poison… Seems legit.
Now, I still expect Madara to put up a great fight though.
*Now I might have missed a few major and/or minor risks that Madara faces for being human, but for the most part I believe that I have the main ones. If you see any others, please let me know. Thank you.
