The term clairvoyance is used to refer to the ability to gain information about a person through special means i.e. it is a form of extra-sensory perception. A person said to have the ability of clairvoyance is referred to as a clairvoyant ("one who sees clearly").

Even though Itachi being a clairvoyant is explicitly backed up in the manga,[SUP] [/SUP][SUP] [/SUP] I was still somewhat hesitant to believe it...

...until I remembered this:

Did anyone notice anything peculiar about the genjutsu in the spoiler? The only way Itachi could have casted something like that is if he had access to Naruto's memories -- which only solidifies the case that Itachi is indeed a clairvoyant.

Clairvoyance is knowing something is happening while it's happening despite not being around to witness or experience it.

That could very well be a generic genjutsu, it just turns your biggest insecurities, fear and shame against you. Itachi didn't select those memories to haunt him, the genjutsu automatically did it.

Thread=bullshit.

What about when Itachi conjectured that Sasuke was no doubt alive, even though he had absolutely no rational way of knowing this? And he wasn't being whimsical either; he seemed as though he actually knew for a fact.

When was this? After the Deidara battle and Zetsu reported that Sasuke was dead?

How did Itachi know it was specifically Sasuke that was behind them? Kisame seemed to not see or hear anyone

Not the first time it happened either

Here's scene that doesn't really make sense to me:

Itachi was able to isolate the real Naruto:

Even though Naruto sent several clones roaming around the forest:

Is "sheer coincidence" the only explanation for this?
