It took Madara decades to awaken the Rinnegan, what makes you think Sasuke will awaken it just like that?

The way I imagine of what would happen is that Madara revives the complete Juubi and will obtain the fruit from the Juubi, granting him more power equal to the Juubi himself.

Instead of becoming the Jinchuriki he has the complete juubi fight the alliance and Naruto/Minato while he fights with Sasuke/Edo Kage

Naruto and Minato eventually will defeat the juubi and manage to seal it, making Naruto the new jinchuriki of the Juubi. Once the Juubi is inside of Naruto, Naruto awakens his past memories of being the Rikudou Sennin in another life, granting him knowledge of the secret of chakra.

With this knowledge, Naruto goes forth to face Madara in an all out final battle of the Fruit Bearer vs Juubi Jinchuriki, and finally defeats him once and for all with his new-found power.




or perhaps when Madara is weakened during his fight with Naruto, Orochimaru takes over his body and unleashes his final plan which is described in a thread that I've made.
