What if the old man shown to be the Jinchuriki of Shukaku is either :
1) The Younger Son himself
OR
2) A student of The Younger Son

Have a look at these three pages....

1) The Younger Son :

2) A student of The Younger Son

All in all, I have a feeling that we have been let onto a little secret which though may seem subtle, is actually quite the opposite. What say?

1) The Younger Son :
- Shukaku calls the old man a priest. We all know 'priest' is a synonym with 'sage'. So is the old man a sage, though not a SO6P...like someone who knows sage mode?
- Also look at the ambiance of his subconscious. Shukaku is in the open, not caged. That's a deeper level of subconscious with the bijuu. Shukaku, despite having a distinct dislike for humans even then, clearly is on friendly terms with the old man. It is definitely hinted that this old man is a perfect jinchuuriki. Did he learn this trick from his father who was a perfect jinchuuriki of nine tailed beasts at a single time when he split the jyuubi?
- This old man also hints that he believes things like heart, friendship, love etc will be the ones that will change the world. An ideology that definitely matches the Younger Son.
- Shukaku also mentions how the people don't even call the old man by his name anymore. Could it be that the old man's name is also Ootsutsuki? Could it be that with the old man losing his name to obscureness, that was also the end of Ootsutsuki clan, NAMEWISE, as we know it? Could it be that his lineage continued, albeit through a different name? Could it be that the Elder Son was somehow responsible for imprisoning his own brother, the Younger Son and also using the tailed beasts for his own ends abusing their power, thus contributing hugely to the growing hatred the tailed beasts have towards the humans?
- And lastly, when Shukaku tells him he reminds him of the the SO6P, the man cries. He says he is humbled, but the tears depict a deeper emotional connection and maybe some fond memories as well...of the SO6P or his father.

2) A student of The Younger Son
- All the above mentioned points can apply is this situation as well.
- The Younger Son may have very well taught him sage mode, certain jinchuuriki specifics and ofcourse, ever-important central theme of love and understanding which will change the world.
- The Younger Son may also be the one who actually wrote those two words on his students hands, and the old man remembers his master when Shukaku mentions the SO6P.

that is a beautiful & unique theory. It also makes people ponder if Sasori or Gaara are actually Uzumaki afterall. Lol
