I'll be explaining this later this week. But do people agree that Gaara has capabilities to exceed that of the current Perfect jinchūriki's?

Disagree. Until I see some actual evidence put forth, I'll stay of that state of mind. Nothing really gives that impression at all. Gaara being a Perfect Jinchuriki/being a Perfect Jinchuriki in general immediately grants nearly unparalleled reserves, easily replicating the feat you displayed above with the scan you posted. Gaara's innate potential allows him to do so, but the potential for a chakra monster of a Perfect Jinchuriki far exceeds that.​

well at the very least he rivals them

but thats only thanks to naruto - as a jinchuriki gaara had no control over shukaku it was the other away around

Indeed. But look where we are now. And look how far Gaara was as a jinchūriki in Early Part 1. I'll explain on this later on.

I wouldn't say he's quite on par with that of a perfect jinchuriki basd on reserves/fire power. All we've seen was that he used a technique that came from his mom in conjunction with the technique of Shukaku. I'll need more proof to believe this, so I look forward to your next thread.

I have to say i agree. He did learn to suppress and control Shikaku before the mention of other jinchurikis. His power is closely equal to shikakus aside from being able to accumilate large amounts of chakra in a short time. As of now if i had not been keeping up the manga and started fresh i would still think he is a jinchuriki and he is on par with bee. They both know the full extent of ther bijus powers and abilities and discovered them on their own prior to naruto

It was also the Hachibi who stated that power was not determined by the amount of tails and why Shikaku hates Kurama for that reason
