Shino is third smartest amongst his age mates

Following Shikamaru and Sasuke, Shino is third smartest; judging his fight with Torune, his ability to recognize Minato's Hiraishin when he moved everyone from the barrier (even though it was his first time of seeing it), his ability to find out the enemy amongst Kiba, Hinata and himself; I personally would like to put him with Sasuke, but looking at three tomoe Sasuke before he had MS, his fights with the likes of Deidara and Itachi, and for someone who trained with the likes of Orochimaru, I would say Sasuke should be above him.
Shino is quite underrated, in a fight, I say he stomps the likes of Sakura, Kiba, Tenten, Lee(without gates and no removing of weights), Ino, He knows all of Chouji's jutsus, so I would give him a 60% chance of winning. His insect hidden jutsus are second to Torune(a personal anbu guard to danzo) and his smart nature are quite near the likes of Sasuke and most jounins of konoha, Most persons wont survive it.

Having said this, I would rate others according to their smart nature/intellect;

Gaara - kage level
Neji - jounin level
Sai - anbu level
Sakura
Naruto
Kiba
Tenten
Lee
Hinata
Ino
Chouji

Yeah he is one of the smartest, but he is less than likely to beat Sakura, Chouji or Lee in a fight unless it is a forrest ambush scenario.

İn power she is below Neji, Lee, Sakura, Chouji among k11. He beats Hinata, Ino, Tenten, Shikamaru. Against Kiba it depends on distance, but Shino wins more than half of the times. A battle between him and Sai can go either way.

About intellect, he is on par with Sakura but for different reasons. He is about the 2nd or 3rd most intelligent among them.
Also that intelligence list is quite inaccurate...Kiba is too high and Ino is too low for example. Opinions though.

Depends on what kind of intelligence we're talking bout here.

I usually look at strategy and battle tactics cause that's probably what matters most in a series like Naruto

In terms of that I'd rank the characters you mentioned like this:

Shikmaru (Obvious)
Naruto (In terms of strategy, he's a genius. People often forget that)
Sasuke
Gaara (Mixing his sand with gold to take down the 2nd Mizukage earns him this spot)
Neji
Shino (Sry but you're overrating him. He's smart, but definitely not as good a strategist as Gaara or Naruto etc.)
Sai
Sakura (Has potential, but we haven't seen anything to impressive for her in terms of battle strategy)
Tenten
Hinata
Ino

Chouji

And for Shino being underrated: Nahh, he's actually pretty overrated because of that Parasitic Bug Jutsu or whatever it's called. People just tend to say he 1 shots the other K11 members with it, but they completely forget that the guy's slow as hell and hasn't shown any skill in taijutsu. How will he get in range?? And even if he does they have a better chance of landing a hit before him.
Rock Lee, Skimaru, Chouji, Sakura, Sai and even Kiba can all beat him in a 1v1 match.

People tend to say he loses in an open field. Or be any fire, water or wind jutsu. Or by opponents faster than him. This is despite Shino beating an opponent who used high-pressure wind in an open area. Just like comments like him being able to one-shot with his Parasitic Bug Jutsu makes him overrated, comments like the examples I mentioned makes him underrated. I ignore gibberish like that.

Underline: I see this said a lot. Where has it ever been shown that Shino is "slow as hell"? He has shown to be both mentally and physically quick on feet. He's also actually quite capable in Taijutsu. He blocked an incoming punch with one arm and later defeated that same opponent with one punch sending him back several feet, got into striking range of one opponent and managed to avoid poison-tipped darts launched at close-range.

Bold: He actually has a better chance of getting in range and dealing a hit than any of them do, minus Lee and Kiba. Or technically his insects do. The insects make use of the enter area, boxing in the opponent. Even fast opponents like Lee and Kiba aren't guaranteed to escape, because Shino implied that if by chance they do manage to avoid the insects, they'll just keep pursuing until he target is incapacitated. How does Lee's Taijutsu effect the bugs? He can't kick or punch them. How does he tell if the Shino he punches isn't a clone of insects that will engulf him?

How is Shikamaru's shadow going to defend him against hundreds of insects? If Choji got larger, would it just make him a bigger target? Can the shock waves of Kiba's attack rip the bugs apart or will it just blow them away unharmed where they can just regroup? Can Sai draw a monster quicker than Shinos insects can overcome him and if he did, could the bugs just eat the chakra out of ink?

In short, no, I don't think Shino losses to them. Possible, yes.

I'm sorry, what? If anyone has intellect hype or any hype at all, its Sakura. Everyone has stated in Pt. 1 that Sakura is incredibly smart, has genjutsu talent and has perfect chakra control but then why the hell was she so useless?! She didn't even show any Genjutsu talent at all other than releasing a technique, if thats so great then Shikamaru must be as skilled because he released it and pretended to be asleep.

Shes smart MEDICAL wise, but not battle wise. Her analysis skills are great when its anything relating to injuries, wounds or poison and what not but other than that, she would get wiped out by Shikamaru since he's all round intelligent. I doubt Sakura would've figured out how Hidan's ability worked, would be too busy yelling cha and trying to hit him, while he dodges laughing manically in her face.
