The Susano'o was basically acting as a double-layered armor for the Kyubi. Whether it can be used "standalone" is irrelevant, a misconception. It's simply covering something else. Not sure how so many people can be so uneducated.

You stated that it isn't on the scale of Madara' PS. As I said, there isn't any way of knowing that yet. Sasuke's Susanoo had to fit the Kyuubi avatar, it couldn't be bigger.

Sasuke had to wrap it around the smaller Kurama cloak. Look at the scan BlinkST posted. The Susano'o was far bigger and had to actually fit itself to Naruto's Kurama cloak. Stand alone it is bound to be much bigger because it doesn't have to cover any smaller entity.​
