Minato was known as Konoha's yellow flash who created the rasengan, the highest shape manipulation jutsu; he was a genius who used the Hiraishin no jutsu and instilled fear in the hearts of even the authorities of every village. He is well known by the Raikage (Ay), Mizukage (Mei), every Konoha shinobi and probably 90% of every living shinobi.
Kakashi was a skilled genius, the son of the white fang, whom is said to be high above even the sannins of konoha. He became a jounin at the age of 11 (most current ninjas become genins at 13) and also created a jutsu at the level of the rasengan (chidori) at this same age. He was named a hero and given the name KAKASHI OF THE SHARINGAN after the 3rd great ninja war at this same age. He has been noted and acknowledged by the likes of Kakazu, who fought the first hokage Hashirama and survived; Cee also noted his presence and informed the raikage immediately at the land of iron when interrupted by yamato, Naruto (who defeated pain) and kakashi. Pain also acknowledged that it was pleasure meeting him and afterwards noted that if his likes aren't eliminated, they would pose a threat to Akatsuki in future. Raikage noted his jutsu was used by Sasuke in the land of iron.
I dont know much about Minato, but who has more fame.
