He was NOT kept underground against his own will. Why the hell do people like to ignore and forget the fact that he CHOSE to leave the cave? He basically told Madara 'SCREW YOU' and left.

Why the hell should I feel sorry for someone who CHOSE his own unhappiness?

He decided to come back to the cave.
He decided to put his whole existence an happiness into one person.
He decided to kill and use others for his own personal gain.
He decided to continue with his 'plan' even after finding out what really went down with Rin and Kakashi.

He never chose his ''unhappiness'' Madara kept Obito till he was fully healed, so while Obito was there, Madara most likely influenced Obito and even possibly put him in a genjutsu, after all, madara wanted to train Obito so he can one day revive him.

Their ideals are COMPLETELY different.
He did NOT put him under ANY genjutsu.
All he did was infuse him with his will and to this day, that had NO effect on Obito's decision making throughout this Manga.

There will always be those who sympathize with Obito and those who don't care for him.

It's just a matter of preference. If they don't feel bad for what he went through then their opinion should still be respected.
