I can't agree more with what Kishimoto said, for me it is a very accurate description of itachi, and his pain and sorrow.

I am just happy that Kishimoto agrees with me that Itachi is a hero, that means no matter what we say it is 100% officail and can't be questioned, in the world that Kishimoto created, Itachi is a hero. you can't change what the creator of a world has done, if Kishimoto considers itachi a hero then by all mean in regards to the morality of the narutoverse Itachi is a hero

if Itachi wasn't a hero then he would've Amateratsu'd Jiraiya the moment they interacted since Jiraiya didn't know about it. Jiraiya would've been killed plain and simple , especially with Kisame there. Naruto & Sasuke weren't a threat.
