Here is just a quick summary of what I wish to write.
Soraya is a young girl in the leaf village. She lives with her parents and one other sister who is older than her, Their names will later be revealed. Soraya is 12 going on 13. Her squad and the other stuff will also be revealed too. Remember, this is just a pilot to see if people like the fanfiction, and if it's liked enough then I'll probably change some stuff here and there ^-^.
PROLOGUE: What's to come.
I looked to the wall. I looked to the wall because I felt like there was nothing for me to look at on stage. We were all only 12, and it's like they were just sending us to our deaths. Whenever I glanced to the left or right, all I would see is a bunch of kids smiling ecstatically. Apparently, they were unaware that those smiles could quickly be covered in blood.
My sister always told me, "Every ninja has to have pride in something whether it is themselves, others, or something materialistic" but I never believed her when she said those things because she was one of the tops students to graduate from the Academy in her time. There were girls in my class that would walk up to me and say, "So, are you as good as your sister?". I pretended to ignore it, but I envied her... I envied every inch of her from her skills, how she had so many friends, how many awards she had, how mom and dad favored her. So when it was her time to give her typical speech that she is asked to give at every graduation, I look to the wall.
However, when I look backwards, I saw someone who I could always stare at. He had bright red eyes that pierced into yours like a bullet. The way he spoke whenever I was around him made me warm up inside. Of course, my sister eventually found out since she like to "be in the know" of my social life. She tried giving me tips... Stupid tips. Her dimwitted tips that did not work at all.
"Hello", she began. "My name is Takami Jonai", I sighed loudly then looked at my mother to indicate that I wanted to go home, but she hit me on my leg to indicate to shut up.
"To begin, I wanted to tell all the graduates: CONGRATULATIONS! You've finally made it! I remember when I was your age and sitting in the exact same position as you. I felt so excited so finally be here. To finally be a ninja" She looked down, then back up. "Usually, I'd give a speech... But right now, I don't think it's appropriate. What I wanted to say is... Uhm... I hope you get great practice on your chakra natures and other things like that. Thank you" Then she stepped off stage and scurried outside as the whole crowd glared at her, and the only sound heard was the clicking of her heels. I wasn't like her to skip her speech and then run off, I've never seen her run so fast in my life.
"Mom, Dad. I'm going to go get some water before the ceremony begins I'll be right back" I told my parents.
"Okay, can you get us one?" They replied.
"Uhm, sure" Then I ran out the door. As I entered the hallway I heard diverse voices in the left hallway. I thought that it was just teachers, but then I heard my sister and ran towards the noise.
When I got near the hallway I stopped at the corner and peaked my head around. There, I saw my sister standing in front of some man. He had dark brown hair, a short black shirt and white pants that nearly showed the outline of his uh... "Belongings". I wasn't close enough to hear what was going on so when they turned towards the windows, I sprinted quietly towards the girls bathroom right behind them and zoned in.
"So... Do we have a deal?" The mysterious man asked.
"Uh... I don't know. I don't want to do anything to harm anyone and you know that" Takami said.
"Who said anyone was going to get hurt? Not I. I'm begging you Takami, please help us out"
"I'm sorry, I... I just can't. See you lat-" The man grabbed her by her cheeks and had a kunai up against her neck.
"No, no, no. I'm sorry.... Maybe I was clear. You WILL help us. You have no choice Takami... You know why, don't you?". Takami made out a yes with the bit of mouth movement she could get through. I stared, noticing everything that was going on. Then I felt a hand grip around my mouth and stomach.
"Hey... What's a little girl like you doing here, huh?" Ninja #1 said. I bit his hand and he screamed and bunched me across the hall. Takami and the mysterious ninja turned towards me in shock.
"Soraya, what are you doing here! Get out of here!" Takami yelled.
"This little brat bit meh' hand!" The ninja shouted. "I'm going to kill her for biting my good hand!"
"Calm down, Suji" The mysterious man walked up to me. "So who do we have here?" I stared into his eyes. He glared right back, piercing me like daggers. He looked me up and down, and I began to blush but maintain my own harsh look.
"Ah... Takami's little sister? You have the same stature she used to have when she was your age. Of course, the back is missing... But, that'll grow in... trust me" He winked then walked back to Takami.
"Well I figure we have a deal... So I'll be on my way. Suji, let's go" Suji got up. "Remember what'll happen if you betray me, Takami" He smiled and walked away. Takami stared at him walking away as he went down the hall. Then began walking back to the ceremony.
"Takami, wait!" I yelled. She stopped and turned around. "What was that all about?" She turned back around, not saying anything.
"Soraya. Just... Just shut up!" Then she ran off, crying. I've never seen my sister cry.
