I looked on the 8-9 page of this chapter, that this old guy looks like the former Captain Commander in Bleach as if I was reading a crossover between the two. Didn't anyone notice that?

Well not really. Its more like the current arc where he had to go train and attain his "full power" or power he had but wasn't aware off. But unlike Ichigo Naruto has to do something on the battlefield.
