why there is a scar on zoro's left eye, and why his left eye closed?

Like for example, zoro saying something like , only 2 people have made me this much worked up, first was mihawk who gave me this scar and second is "you" .

Right now we are not even sure if this scar was given by mihawk or a damn monkey

He received the scar off-screen during his 2 years training with Mihawk. It's not known exactly when, how and by whom and the reason he keeps that eye closed is because it got probably damaged when he got the scar.

Though I have been theorizing since the time-skip that he is intentionally keeping his eye closed to keep his power at bay and that at some point opens it when he needs to release his full strength against a powerful opponent. But that's just me wishful thinking so until that would happen, it's just something to make him look badass

Just yesterday I was searchjng Zoro's eye theories and some of them were pretty funny and ridiculous, but I know he got it off panel during the tymskip and its not known how he got it and who inflicted it on him, then I think there is some purpose to it always being closed and I think in Zoro's nxt over the limit all out bout Oda will do a flashback to when he got it similar to when Sanji showed sky and blue walk. There loads of theories as to maybe there is a power hidden in the eye kinda thing and here are some
1. he keeps it closed to limit his power and when he opens it we get a Kenpachi lyk power boost.
2. Maybe its linked to his killing intent and or the power that makes him able to go Asura(this is too kinda linked to the first.
3. Maybe its linked to either his CoO or CoC, CoO in the pirates of old wld culture an eye to see better in the dark by wearing an eye patch so maybe when Zoro opens it he gets insane obeservatory skill and CoC in maybe he cant control it that greatly so to keep from affecting inocents he closes the eye.

Then maybe his CoC is amplified by his Killing intent or vice versa so the inocents wld shit themselves shld they stare into his eye.
Then there is always its just a scar pple nothing special about it but I doubt thus very much coz it wld have been probably brought up when he was in FI under water vs Hody or somewhere bwtn then and Punkhazard or Sanji wld have totally used it to insult Zoro in some manner if the eye was now useless. Sorry for the long post but i wanted to create a thread but seeing as one was recently made u kno. For the naruto fans its a Rinnegan.

Hmm, it's either something to do with his killing intent or...

I think the reason Zoro has one eye closed is because it was known that pirates used to close one eye so they could see better in the dark. I do believe Zoro was scarred by Mihawk but I think he does have an actual working eye under that closed one.

He'll probably have a fight in the dark sometime where he's getting defeated due to the fact he can't see his opponent or sense him and when he opens his eye he'll be able to see his opponent.
