Battle in the forest [Perception vs. Shadou]

[Perception]

Inoichi stands between a few trees in the middle of a forest after completing a mission. He hears footsteps approaching and sees a stranger approach.

[Shadou]

It was a cold day and the sun was beginning to set. Shadou had been recently sent to the forest to partake in a mission. He roamed through the forest with his black cloak and a red gunbai strapped around his back. Underneath his cloak was his favorite katana that patiently waited for a turn to strike down another victim while resting in the hilt. While walking, Shadou steps on a branch that laid on the ground. The branch snaps in half, giving off a sound that could be heard throughout the forest. A random voice suddenly speaks, catching the attention of Shadou. Shadou turns around to see a familiar face standing between some trees.

Inochi, what are you doing out here? Whats with that face, you look like you’re searching for a fight.

A smirk comes over the face of Shadou. He was always prepared to fight, rather it be against an enemy or fellow village mate. A few moments pass by as him and Inochi exchange looks . Neither man moved so Shadou assumed that Inochi was indeed looking for trouble. Shadou raises his head and points his right index finger up towards the sky.

You know I like fire.

Shadou brings his head back down and locks eyes with Inochi while gathering a fair amount of chakra. He releases his chakra in the path of Inochi, using his chakra to alter Inochi’s senses. Inochi would now be seeing a huge ball of fire descending down from the sky that would “engulf” him in flames if he couldn’t manage to counter.

Immediately moving onto his next technique. Shadou weaves together the horse, tiger, snake, and ram hand seal in almost an instant due to his affinity with fire. In the process of weaving the hand seals, Shadou also gathered his chakra while envisioning the burning nature of fire. Shadou raises his head towards the sky, opens his mouth, and takes a deep inhale while focusing his katon chakra in his gut. He then exhales several (8) fireballs into the sky at the same that come raining down onto Inochi.

These fireballs have explosive and concussive abilities, similar to other fire techniques.

Searching for a fight you say? Don't forget I was the first one out here, but if your so eager then I'm happy to oblige.

After a short stare down a leaf is seen falling down from a nearby tree and it hits the ground. With that in a cliche fashion the battle begins. Inoichi immediately sees a massive fireball descend from the sky. Something is off however. No handseals were performed, no additional sounds can be heard, and no temperature change can be felt. Inoichi puts it together in an instant, this must be a genjutsu. He thinks to himself, "No introduction or anything, how rude". Inoichi bites a chunk of his cheek and at the same time builds up his lightning chakra and performs the snake hand seal. As he is released from the genjutsu Inoichi emits a spear of lightning from his hands and directs it at Shadou's left ankle. This happens as Shadou is performing handseals. Inoichi then moves his hands to his left and upwards slicing through the young Uchiha's body diagonally. All this before the Uchiha even performed a single ninjutsu. Such a shame.

Descripton: The user, after performing the Snake hand seal, emits lightning in the shape of a spear from their hands or mouth which then pierces the enemy. Kakuzu, the original user, shoots the technique from his Lightning mask's mouth. Its destructive power is great enough to even pierce through rock; meaning it has a high killing potential. The user can increase the number of spears to attack multiple enemies by branching the main spear. This, coupled with the sheer speed of the lightning, makes it a difficult technique to evade. This strong attack can be defended against by an equally strong attack of the same element such as Raikiri.

I wanted to at least get your name, but then I suppose that's not possible with rude knaves like you.

Noticing Inochi letting off a lightning technique before the fireballs rain down upon him, Shadou uses a technique that every ninja should know. Shadou ends up poofing in thin air before the lightning tech hits, revealing a piece of wood to take the hit for him while he appears near a tree safe from distance from the lightning.

This can be a block of wood or even another person. This allows the ninja to quickly flee and hide while the original object takes the brunt of their opponents attack.

Shadou then slowly approaches Inochi, being careful to avoid areas set aflame from his technique. Shadou crouches over to observe the corpse of Inochi. He then reaches down into his pouch to pull out a leaf that he places on the chest of Inochi.

Shadou stands back up and heads back to his home, Konohagakure.

Okay, both of your moves have problems >_>

First, stop saying in an "instant" this word is purely cosmetic, nothing is instant other than a few techniques like Space-Time ninjutsu, and some doujutsu, so basically you both messed up the timeframe a bit trying to bend it in your favor.

Let's review the timeframe, Genjutsu, Lightning spears, fireballs, so given the genjutsu was formed then followed with the fire, there's a small "interval" of time when the opponent notices the genjutsu to when he counters it, although it's a small amount of time, it allows them to counter the genjutsu and get ready to counter the next attack, but in this case i'd say both lightning and fire techniques happen at the same time, the "activation" that is, both are pretty fast techniques, so Perception, since you didn't defend against the fire, you have to defend against it in your next move, i won't say you are hit by it, as you have an equal amount of time to counter it just like the amount of time Shadou had to counter the lightning, but the lightning won't be fast enough to stop the creation of the fire technique, nor would the fire be fast enough to stop the lightning, although if this was an official tournament, i'd give the win to Shadou, since you didn't defend against the fire and simply approached him to slash him. Unofficial battles are just for fun
