It wouldn't be very surprising. I mean, sasukes personality only changed every single time they've shown him in shippuden. Madara doing so was actually expected in my opinion, he couldn't stay all aloof letting obito do everything forever

So he planned Naruto Uzumaki's birth he planned to be bought back edo tesnei rather than edo tensei from the get go? Get real Madara didn't plan that stuff he just got lucky and if Madara had been bought back the way he wanted he would have been destroyed there's a reason kishi brought him back edo tensei and that's so gokage couldn't kill him. He wouldn't have had the rinnegan or the chakara reserves that kabuto gave him if he where bought back rinnie tensei. Up until his revival Madara was just a dead fodder who was about to get lucky.

Actually Obito had been manipulating him. Madara had no clue that he would be bought back edo tensei and he's lucky he did. Madara didn't know that nagato would betray him and he had no clue Naruto and Sasuke would be born. He wasn't manipulating the situation again at this point I can't even say he's getting lucky kishimoto is desperately trying to keep madara alive and prosperous even if it contradicts manga "facts".
