Ok yes I'm pretty sure kishi has to at least have a sense of direction because not doing so would mean he's pretty much pull it all out of his butt hole.

However I don't think he's been know for lying in his interviews or for being a conservative author

though I guess you could argue that Kishi didn't want to ruin the big ending

well the quote that kishi apparently said is "I still don’t know how i’m going to have Madara defeated" this can be seen from different perception not just "he doesnt know how to defeat madara" but could be seen as hes not sure on which method to beat madara like who and what and dont forget kishi is probably trying to be careful and take his time to give madara the defeat that he deserves so from this its quite possible that kishi isnt thinking of talk no jutsu for madara
