Blast or Bum? - Pirates of The Caribbean 6 -

If they were to make a 5th installment into the franchise, do you think it would be a blast, or kind of a bum?

Anyway, I think it would be awesome. I'm actually waiting for the sequel since the last one. I really like those movies.

It wasnt a fail. It just wasnt near as good as the trilogy. And as people have super high expectations before they even saw it, they were disappointed, and gave it bad rep.

For a movie, it was decent-good, and for a pirates movie, it was still amuseing. Just not as great as the last 3.


To the OP.

I personally get a lot of enjoyment from those movies. The 4th wasnt as good as the rest, but was still quite good.

If they made a 5th that had just a little better plot/conclusion, then it would be perfect.(the whole fountain of youth, only works useing others peoples life, just wasnt what i was expecting). As long as a pirates movies has Jack, Barboso, and Gibbs, it can still work.(the more the merrier though(of other main characters).

They will probably make another movies eventually. But they wont give it as big a budget, and they will be very tenative on makeing it(so it doesnt do as bad in sales as the 4th did). They have their plate full though, with the star wars franchise AND the ever larger marvel franchise. I dont expect another movie anytime soon(a pirates movie)

I must say though, jack sparrow was a genius creation. He is a unique character(or was till they redid the lone ranger, and make a jack sparrow with a more indian garb(i didnt see the movie though))


If they make the plot just a bit better than the 4th, then i would really enjoy another pirates movie.

Potc is extremely overrated, Jack Sparrow is awesome but the rest is, and has been since the beginning, just bum
