My Girlfriend Drives me absolutly insane but i couldn't be happier and i like her so much it isn't even funny. its all about balancing relationships with other things don't let it consume all your time and of course if the girl isn't right for you either find a different one or just stay single for awhile

Being in a relationship is risky on the guys end if you don't know this. Women always look to guys as "jerks" and whatever. But in reality "jerks" are a survival response to how different women and men are. The thing is Men are taught "Honor, loyalty,duty" all our lives. That shit is shoved so hard into ourselves that it puts a man at a disadvantage at the relationship game. Super heroes, action movies and everything else we look to has these messages force fed to us. They are not bad messages but the ladies don't have these forced on them as hard. They are taught they are special, they are this and that and deserve the best just because they were born. " Plenty of fish in the sea" applies greatly here.

When you get dumped as a guy it's not just being dumped. It's almost like Failing your "duty" . So if you are not happy with yourself this can be a Really bad blow. So it's important that yes having a Gf makes you happy but don't for 1 second doubt that can't be taken away. ( even if you lock her in your basement ).
