When is Yamato Taicho coming into fray?

Captain Yamato has been out of the fray of the manga for a while now, last I saw him, he was as the akatsuki hideout being used as a lab rat.
I don't know, does Kishi have a plan for him or he just forgot him?

Dunno, and I'm rather sad about it.
Every character in the series got his time to shine in this war in one way or another... except for Yamato who's being a prisoner all this time.
That's a pity, because he has a great potential.
