This is how I imagined the things that should have happened which imo is more logical and satisfying.
Madara leaps to battle and mowed down the alliance on his way to Bijuus.
Madara grows wood branches and black rods on his body
While he waltz to the battle field reminiscent of Kimimaro's Dance of Larch
Leaving dead bodies on his path
Niibi steps in to stop Madara
Madara countered easily with Mokuton Joukai Koutan, ensnaring the Bijuu
Niini tries to retaliate with Bijuu Bomb
But Madara pushes it back
Creating a large explosion, killing most in the vicinity of the explosion while soe managed to surive with the Kages help
The smoke clears to reveal
Madara says something badass while the alliance froze in awe.
