EMS doesnt grant or give you a new power you dont/didnt already have.

So how is it a borrowed/given power?

It is a borrowed power because it doesn't belong to the user. It also does increase power because it gave sasuke more advanced enton and a much larger susanoo. It is just as much of a borrowed power as BM and KCM

of course it's not comparable to using jinchuriki powers since the EMS users doesn't have to defeat his sharingan in battle, conquer all of his own hatred, and then befriend his sharingan in order to use his EMS.

sasuke wanted to fight all those people and use his MS. You saying someone made him use them is laughable.

show me where it doesn't. its a 50/50 split on wither or not the EMS does or don't. but with MS there's no way he could have lasted to find out. so it did unlock the use of PS for him because he wouldn't have been able to achieve it.

Its borrowed power because it gives the user the Power to Constantly use the EMS Without ever having the risk of going blind, thus they are given the power to abuse their eyes without any risk. Nuff Said
