Momentum is as simple as how hard is to move something. Wrestling uses momentum, and he used it vs Kakashi, Kyuubi, Pain's beasts. Naruto used momentum way more times than Sakura in a single battle.
Impulse is the variation of momentum inside a delta time. This is exactly what happens when you deal a karate blow in a precise moment, just like Sakura does with her chakra-charged punches. She did this fighting Kakashi, Sasori, Zetsu, Juubi, etc etc. She used this more times than Naruto in a single battle.
I'm not confused at all o_o. I'm objective. Do Sakura need to be fast to increase impulse? I don't think so... Impulse is Force * delta_time, so if she increases force, that will increase impulse as well.
What has you being objective got to do with anything? I wasn't questioning your objectivity :yeah: you just have the wrong end of the stick.
In this context J=F*delta t is a see-saw relationship (and is ultimately irrelevant). Lets say Sakura is applying a greater force she is obviously applying more force to her body and therefore her fist, (how do you create more force?) if F=ma she must be accelerating because if m1=m2 (she doesn't manipulate mass) then she must be increasing her speed.
Now J=F(delta t) remains the same because delta t has decreased (her blow is faster and connects for a shorter period); delta t is the important part here it also counter acts the idea of Sakura using Impulse to make her attacks. The ground literally explodes away from her in many instances hence the objects in question connected to her fists do so for a short period.
Because no matter how much faster she becomes her fists are not squishy like a car's bonnet hence the shock of her faster and faster blows means delta t decreases steadily with increasing force in this context. In essence an inverse relationship as one goes up the other goes down.
In order for Sakura to use impulse in her blows she would have to have fists that squish and increase the period of time her fist is in contact with the enemy to transfer more energy. But because they are ninja we can consider them to have enhanced durability in general hence I doubt that Sakura has what would be equivalent to cartilage for fists
This is why Sakura does not use physical might to make these effects because it doesn't make sense. She has explody chakra fists/feet she doesn't use impulse or even momentum. Its like a chakra bomb released at the point of contact, Kakashi even says it in the manga while talking about her enhanced strength.
Your referenced karate masters, you are correct they use impulse, but it all depends on the massive force they apply for a very short period of time (delta t) in order to not break their hands into pieces. Hence overall they apply less energy than they in fact could. They apply greater force in one moment than the concrete can stand up to. So yes they are faster not "stronger".
