The Tobi controversy

I know that this is a very old topic, but i would still like to get some opinions on it. For those that dont read manga, dont read this thread because there will be SPOILERS.

Personally, I was one of those people who hated Tobi being Obito. It was just a too obvious pick, and it didnt seem possible for a lot of reasons, and some plot holes are still not covered to this day. For example, Kisame thought Tobi was Madara, and Tobi even took his mask off to prove it to him. But he looks nothing like Madara, and i dont think Kisame is stupid enough to actually think that he was Madara.

Well, im not here to ramble on the plot holes, i got a little carried away. My question to you is, are you content with Tobi being Obito? If not, why and who would you like Tobi to be?

The Kisame plothole has been covered.

We've seen Obito with long hair, which pretty much looked like Madara. Is that not enough evidence for you? Or does Kishimoto literally need to make a whole chapter dedicated to it?

Not really, since Obito was 15 when he met Kisame, and Madara would be much older at that time.

I am. I least expected it, as I used to take the manga casually. Only after joining the base did I take the manga seriously and I re-read all chapters properly. Well, about the Kisame thing, Madara is an Uchiha, as is Obito. Kisame didn't see Madara anytime in his lifetime, and well, Obito had the Sharingan, plus was OP as hell, which made Kisame think he was Madara. Obito was convincing as Madara.

Good answer, i personally liked the Kagami theories the most, since he was briefly mentioned and had that hair and everything. I wounder how the story would be now if Kishi went with him.

As i mentioned in the thread, i did infact see it, since ive been following the manga for a number of years now. I posted this thread because i still feel as though Kishi never properly covered up the plotholes of tobi being obito. i would have preffered if tobi was someone else.

Kisame NEVER saw the real Madara Uchiha, you can't expect him to call faker, Lol by that statement, then half of the base was stupid to think he was, heck there is people in this base that still believes he is madara uchiha

plus, as others have pointed, Obito with long hair looked just like Madara Uchiha, the main fact everyone was quote and quote ''stupid'' to believe he is madara is because of the POWER, he had by using maddy's name


even tsunade says so, kakashi, yamato, even itachi said to have knowledge at kage level, fall for it, it's just a huge massive deception that madara and obito planned, just deal with it,

Itachi put on a Huge deception on being evil, I don't see people complaining

Obito being Tobi was fine for me, Tobi was my fave because he was Tobi, The fact Obito's character was different as f**k from him and had a fruity ass backstory is what ruined it for me

Tobi should have remained Tobi, No idea why people wanted him to be someone, dude should have just been his own character.

Kagami being Tobi wouldn't be so great. I mean, Obito being Tobi was perfect, like how he faced so much shit in his life and now is like this. Kagami had like an appearance in just one chapter, whereas Obito was shown more than Kagami, plus Obito was someone close to Kakashi.

Obito was the most awesome choice . Glad that Kishimoto made him the greatest villain and character .

Obito is one of the best anti-villain,antagonist I have seen in any manga. He was the best choice,in my opinion.

As for you claiming the thing with Kisame as plot-hole is just your misunderstanding. Kisame never met Madara,and the fact that Obito controlled a perfect Jinchuriki,4th Mizukage,for so long [ which I think was OP as hell,the dude tamed a perfect jin. and a kage level shinobi.as if it's nothing,with just a normal genjutsu ],was enough to make Kisame believed that he is Madara indeed.

And seriously,do you really believe Kisame to figure out that he is not Madara,when the dude fooled the shit out of entire shinobi world,including the so called prodigies of their generation like Jiraya,Oro,Tsunade,Minato,Nagato,Itachi,and even ****ing Kakashi,etc.

Just admit it dude,you know he was a damn boss till his very end,the second to ever over-power the Jubi with his will alone. Sure in the end he got defeated by his subconscious personality of past,which Naruto made him recall after he lost his mask,as only after his mask fell that Naruto was able to see his emotions,and used it against him in one hell of a psychological battle,which I think was just perfect. I mean,do you really wanted the strongest being in the NV to get defeated by some kids by "Physical Means",in a combat of power? That I think would be true shit,tbh. It looks more perfect this way,that it was Naruto who revived that subconscious Obito of past who then defeated his former self in terms of will.=D
