Lol, now you contradict yourself

First you said these so called fodders that you claim they are not Unimportant are important

But now you said that the main characters are relavent and these so call fodders are irelavent

No. I am saying that you guys are constantly claiming that people like Shikaku are irrelevant because you don't feel anything. I am saying that your feelings do not determine who is relevant, and that the people whose deaths you see as relevant aren't actually doing anything to hinder infinite tsukuyomi. Therefore, they are no different from the people that you consider "fodder". Since this is the case, if you consider these people (Naruto's friends) relevant, then you might as well consider other random shinobi as relevant as well.

Well you're right, the Konoha 11 ant doing sht, so therefore they're fodder, but if they die, it gives bigger impact to the story why?? Bcause Konoha11 are considered to be supportive, and have bigger role that are considerable " Relavent" to Begin with, mainly speaking Naruto Part 1

In Shippuden they're all fodder regardless

Fair point. However, I am speaking strictly on the basis that this is in fact a war. I am not speaking on the basis of the literary impact that it has on us as the readers. That is Kishi's issue to deal with (it is his money after all).

That's irrelevant. It's still a war whether you feel that it is or not.

Actually, "feeling" is the important part here. A story of fiction is meant to invoke feelings in readers, otherwise what's the point? Of course we can all understand from a rational point of view that people like Shikaku and Inoichi were important to the Alliance and all, but did we feel a "bond" with them during the course of a story? Did Kishi wrote them as sympathetic characters that readers can relate to, and therefore feel sorry for? So yeah, these deaths had a serious impact in-universe, but not that much from most reader's POV.

Naruto's comrades have not become a main target in this war. They are not even really key players. The goal of the villains is infinite tsukuyomi. Naruto's friends have done nothing to significantly hinder that goal. To the villains, they are no different from the "fodders". Therefore there is no reason for them to receive special attention.
We're talking here about drama dude. Whether they were the main target or not is not important, it's just something that needs to happen for things to be dramatic. I can only remember how great the Pain Arc was because of all those dramatic deaths, well the war needs to be even more dramatic than that. You're saying fodders, but look at it. It's all the Konoha people who are fighting Madara, and most of these are Naruto's comrades, don't you think they should be some targets?

I felt sorry when Shikaku and Inoichi died. Any way, I see what you are saying. I am glad that you acknowledge that they were important in universe. However, my problem just comes in when people constantly say that this is not a war. The lack of feeling on the reader's point of view just indicates that it is not a very exciting war from a literary stand point. My argument is strictly from a battle/war time point of view. From that point of view (mine) this is very much of a war. The thing is, people can't seem to seperate their literary emotional points of view from their rational war time points of view. This results in the constant criticism and bashing of Kishi and his work (and Kishi is clearly working from mostly a war time point of view). Now I know that everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I am fine with some criticism. It just really gets on my nerves though when the complaining is constant however. Kishi works his butt off every week to entertain us, and people hardly ever have a single positive thing to say about it. It is always "plot hole this and butt pull that (I don't curse, but you know what I mean)". I almost can't remember the last time I heard something positive about the series. This is why it may seem like I am coming to Kishi's defense. It is not that I am against a little criticism (but come on, every little thing?)

All of the Konoha people you say? Tell me who out of Naruto's comrades (edo kages and Sasuke not included) have done a thing to stop Madara and Obito besides fighting zetsu clones, edo tenseis and juubi clones like every other generic shinobi. The only ones I can think of are Kakashi/Guy (for helping fight Obito and exploiting his weakness) and Tsunade (because she is a kage and she fought Madara). Shikamaru and Ino sort of stepped up after their dads died. Other than that, the rest of Konoha 11 has essentially been no different from random Joe the shinobi. This is why I don't see why they should be targeted.

This just doesn't feel like a War to me

That's because it's not. It really had the power to be, but it has fell flat. This entire war arc is horrible. Not because of deaths, although that is somewhat of an issue too (This list here is laughable), but because of horrible story choices in my opinion.

This is by definition a war. Your feelings do not determine whether or not this is a war. Obito had intel from Kisame that Naruto could sense evil in nine tails chakara mode. In response, he chose to deploy the zetsu clones and have them transform into alliance members, thus creating mistrust and confusion within the alliance. This in turn would inspire the alliance to release Naruto because Naruto would be the only one who could solve the problem. With this, Obito would succeed in drawing out the jinchuuriki. He then created his six paths of pain as an offensive measure to take down and capture the jinchuuriki. He captured Kinkaku and Ginkaku as a fail safe in case he could not capture Naruto. He ultimately succeeded in reviving the juubi. This was an example of a war strategy. In war, you gather intel like this and make strategies accordingly. Furthermore, thousands of people have died. Cities and villages have been destroyed. This kind of stuff happens in real war. Therefore it is a war. You just don't care about the ones who have died, but your feelings don't make it any less of a war.

You know, I'll agree that technically it is a war, but it's the WORST war ever.

Everyone here sound like psychopaths, lol. "We want deaths, we want deaths!" :|

There's a reason, only a few main characters died. Kishi could make this manga seinen, but the editors don't allow him to, because Naruto started off as a shonen and still is shonen. I personally don't think there's a necessity of killing off main characters, atleast Naruto is not like fairy tail, which is kiddish as hell and literally not even a single character dies.

No, I'm not meaning fighting the tough ones. Konoha 11 fought many Edos and Zetsu, yet they beat them all. This s a little overboard. I can't really tell who could have killed any of them, yet I find it odd that only random fodders get killed by Zetsu and Edos. The Konoha 11 aren't elites, they're merely Chuunin, like most of the Shinobi Alliance who gets beaten by random Zetsu. It's not about getting targeted, since no one of those fodders was actually targeted, but it's unrealistic that all of the Konoha11 were able to defeat all their enemies. Being that elite as to defeat all Zetsu and most Edo. Just look at Kiba, he's merely a Chuunin level ninja, and that half thanks to Akamaru, yet didn't die like most of the Chuunin / Jonin from Kumogakure or Kirigakure or any other village, who, supposedly fought with Chuunin or Jonin too, not just Genin and Academy students.

In a war, the target is to eliminate the enemy. The target isn't a simple person, it's the whole enemy. There shouldn't have been a bigger reason to kill Naruto's comrades than the reason to kill all those fodders.
