I believe I have figured it out or atleast a major part of the events to aspire and reasons for past actions especially in the latest chapter.
People were questioning why the heck did he just tank the attack instead of going into susanoo or just using mokuton.
Well the answer is quite simple. He doesn't want to waste to Sage energy he has gathered. Since he cannot absorb it straight out of nature, he has to conserve it.
Since he only can absorb it from others.
We already know to an extent what Sage Mode basically does to all of it's users. It varies from which sage form you accomplish but they all have the same basic power ups.
These are the basics ^^
Madara obtained that power from Hashirama so that he could still fight until he got his eyes and also for future purposes.
Madara still probably has the ability to make those black rods.
(With this ability he'll be able to stake the tailed beast and make it impossible for them to escape. Also he might be able to absorb chakra through the chains, healing any damage he'll take from from the SA. He also might be able to control the tailed beast aswell. This is only if he is able to do the same techniques Obito has showed)
Now back to Madara obtaining natural energy. Right now he is in Sage mode and after obtaining his right rinnegan eye, he has acquired his doujutsu powers aswell. They won't be at full power but they still will be enhanced by SM.
Madara's first move will most likely be a mokuton jutsu to corner or grab the tailed beast, immobilizing and weakening them. I'm not saying that the tailed beast will just stand there and let him grab them, but we've seen wooden hands come straight out the ground so it shouldn't be that farfetched of a prediction.
Of course the SA and/or the Tailed beast will counter some things Madara will do, I'm just assuming/predicting things that will happen anyway.
Now from where I said he would use a mokuton jutsu, from then onward is just your prediction/assumption of what will happen onward.
In my prediction he will meet his end with the help of an attack from behind. Some people believe it will be Hashirama or Sasuke. Of course there are others their to, but the point I'm getting across is that the attack from behind will be a game changer. Whether it will end him or it will severely wound him.
Honestly it's a 50/50 chance that Madara will actually cast the genjutsu. You can debate all you like but there's just to much crap that each side can do that wouldn't make one side have more of an advantage. So 50/50.
This thread has many things in it.
But the main point was to clear up some misconceptions and questions one might have about Madara and the other main point was to give ideas and for the future.
This is just my opinion.
