Confusion about Madara Uchiha

I'm a little confused as to why Madara wanted to become mortal once again. Why would he want the risk of mortality and have his eyes disappear? Plus he is more powerful even after Kabuto said he gave Madara a better body after reincarnating him. I know he absorbed Hashirama's sage power but it still doesn't make sense to me. Is there something I missed?

he wants to still use infinite tsukuyomi on the world. so he has to be mortal in order to seal the shinju into his body.

His plan was to become the Juubi's Jin, and you can't be an Edo Tensei to be the Juubi's Jin apparently (which is BS to me, since Obito made the Edo Jinchuuriki hosts Jinchuuriki again)

Apparently he wasn't at full power in his edo tensei form.
