But i remember he used only Sharingan in the Konan fight ( his mask was broken so we could see ).
Also when he stalled Kakashi and co , he was using only normal eye , and what proved it is that he activated the Sharingan at the end of the fight ( when Zetsu came in and Kakashi noticed it there. )
